Casa do Hibisco is located on a farm in São Pedro do Estoril. This farm, acquired in 1940 for the production of carnations, is in the family for 4 generations. The house owes its name to a more than 50 years old hibiscus planted next to the entry. Surrounded by trees, the house is quiet and comfortable, with a green outdoor area. Near the beach, this house is a good choice for people who want to visit Lisbon , Cascais and Sintra.

It has one bedroom with a traditional Portuguese iron bed, a living room with a kitchenette fully equipped with a fridge and stove, and a bathroom with shower. The floor in traditional Portuguese tiles contrasts with the large glass door with plenty of natural light, which allows a continuity between the house and the garden.
In the property, there are some other houses, where the hosts live. There are several friendly dogs, cats and chickens.The house has a private outdoor space, where guests are invited to enjoy a peaceful environment.

We enjoyed our stay overall and loved the location. The property is a unique guest apartment on a beautiful family estate, and it was a great base for exploring Cascais, Sintra, and the Atlantic coast. Afonso was extremely responsive on WhatsApp, check-in was easy, and we appreciated being able to drop our bags before check-in and start exploring.There were a few minor issues that kept this from being a higher rating. The apartment does not have air conditioning, which we expected, but there was also no fan. Even a simple fan would make a huge difference, as the room became warm and stuffy at night. The bed was also a bit small and not particularly comfortable for two adults.We also experienced a noticeable ant problem and had to keep all food in the refrigerator. Some pest control would help. Because the windows needed to stay open for airflow, we also dealt with some insect bites during our stay.The hosts have two friendly dogs on the property. We love dogs, but one would bark whenever we walked up the driveway, especially later at night. It wasn't aggressive, just a little surprising.Overall, we had a great time and would consider staying again. With a fan, some pest control, and a little more guest privacy, this could easily be a 4.5 star stay.

Everything was fantastic, the garden is lovely and enjoyable! The hosts are funtastic! Will come again!
Really good steakhouse nearby as well as mexican restaurant!
