Why You'll Love this Mountain Escape:
* Known locally as Barbie's Dream House, a four-level chalet with a story to match its scale
* Panoramic mountain views from nearly every room across four levels
* Three king suites, each with a private jetted tub and gas fireplace
* Under 0.5 miles from Ober Gatlinburg Ski & Amusement Centre
* Chalet Village Owner's Club access, seasonal pools, tennis courts, and clubhouses
* Professionally managed with local support throughout your stay
Locals still call it Barbie's Dream House, and Barbie's Destiny Chalet earns the nickname with four full levels of opulence: a main-level games room with a wet bar and pool table, a private lounge for curling up with a book, and a kitchen island that seats 10. Upstairs, a primary suite pairs a king bed with a private kitchenette, a jetted tub, and its own small patio for sunrise coffee. The lower level holds two more king suites, each with a jetted tub and gas fireplace of its own, while a top-floor loft adds one more vantage point over the Smokies. At 3,800 square feet with four fireplaces total, the covered patio's hot tub, and a ski lift passing overhead, this chalet is less a cabin and more a small resort of its own, backed by Chalet Village's clubhouses, pools, and tennis courts each summer.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Barbies Destiny Chalet with a million dollar view. We come every year and stay up ski mountain road. The view was the best we have ever had. This home is over the top and quite unique. That was the appeal for us. It didnt disappoint with its massive king suites and ginormous rooms. The lighting system is a learning curve. Took us a minute to figure out all the lights and I just loved the vintage nutone speakers in every room. The only thing that I would change is more trash receptacles in every room and liquid hand soap at all the sinks. This place is extravagant and reminds you of the tv show "Dallas" with the extravagant staircase and all the extra rooms. Its got a 90's mansions feel to it. My kids, who are millenials, really thought it was cool. It certainly took me back as I went through the 90's. If you are looking for a unique experience and different from your usual cabin and log homes normally found in Gatlinburg, then this is your place.

The chalet was fine but it had many issues that are problematic. All of the step ups and step downs are an accident waiting to happen. Although the view is beautiful, there is no way to block the sun during the day. You need curtains or blinds. The lighting is dim, particularly in the bathrooms.

Amazing house in the mountains above Gatlinburg. Awesome views of the mountains and we saw bears almost every day. Everything was clean and we enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. Thank you for a wonderful week!

It was clean and beds were comfortable. For the high price however, we were very disappointed in how outdated everything was. Leather was worn off couch, patio furniture was old and uncomfortable, wallpaper peeling off walls, material torn and hanging underneath bar stools, cover for hot tub was torn up, and bathrooms had old disconnected telephone right next to toilets.
