Sleeps 4. A king bed in one bedroom, a queen bed in the other, one bathroom, a living room, a kitchen with a round dining table, and a washer and dryer inside the apartment.



What to know first: three short steps lead up to the porch, then 20 steps lead up to the apartment. One assigned parking space behind the building and free street parking out front. No pets. Self check-in.



The Space:

The apartment is on the second floor of a two unit duplex. Enter through the door on the right, marked B, from the front porch on Lorch Street. Three short steps lead up to the porch, then 20 steps lead up to the apartment.



Living room: a sofa, two wicker armchairs, a coffee table and a TV with cable. A stacked washer and dryer sits in the living area near the kitchen, free to use.



Kitchen and dining: white cabinets, a refrigerator with freezer, microwave, electric stove and oven, toaster, blender, a Keurig coffee machine with coffee, pots and pans, dishes and silverware, and wine glasses. A round dining table seats four.



Bedrooms: one bedroom has a king bed with a 14 inch memory foam mattress and cotton linens, and the other has a queen bed. Both have navy curtains and room darkening shades. One bedroom has a decorative fireplace and exposed brick.



Bathroom: one full bathroom with a vanity, a hair dryer and a shower with a curtain. The shower is on the compact side. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap and shower gel are provided.



Comfort: central air conditioning and heating, ceiling fans, an iron, wifi, bed linens, towels and extra pillows and blankets.



Guest Access:

You have the whole upstairs apartment and the private upstairs porch. One assigned parking space, marked B, is behind the building. The downstairs apartment has its own space, so please use only B. Street parking in front of the building is free.



Check in is 4:00 PM and check out is 10:00 AM. Self check-in with a smart lock. Your door code and the check-in guide are sent through the guest app. We cannot store luggage before check in or after check out.



The downstairs apartment is a separate unit with its own guests. You may hear guests coming and going and some city noise. Please keep noise down and observe quiet hours from 8 PM to 8 AM. Parties and events are not allowed without coordinating with us first. Exterior security cameras cover the front door and the backyard.



The Neighborhood:

Forsyth Park is three blocks away: turn right at the sidewalk, walk three blocks and you reach the fountain. The apartment sits in the middle of downtown Savannah, so cafes, bars, restaurants and groceries are a short walk.



Walk north along Whitaker Street through the squares to find local shops, coffee and quick bites. For a Southern meal, Mrs. Wilkes Boarding Room is close, and 700 Drayton and Crystal Beer Parlor are a short walk. River Street and City Market are about a 20 minute walk.



Getting Around:

Walking is the best way to see downtown. Uber and taxis are quick and inexpensive. The free DOT trolley stops about a block away and runs about every fifteen minutes to the Historic District.



Parking: one car fits in the assigned space behind the building, and there are several free street spots in front. Check the posted street sweeping signs and move your car on sweeping days to avoid a ticket.



Other Things to Note:

Stairs: 20 steps lead up to the apartment, after three short steps to the porch.



Insects: we spray quarterly, but you may see palmetto bugs, wasps and other insects. Keep windows and doors shut, keep food in the dining area and keep trash in the trash can.



Minimum age to rent is 21. Maximum 4 guests. Please take off your shoes inside. The home is pet free. Service animals follow ADA rules.



Interaction with Guests:

We live close by and are available day and night through the guest app or by phone. Your door code and check-in instructions are sent through the app by 3:00 PM on the day of arrival. Please read the check-in guide before you arrive.
