Villa Atabeyra is the epitome of a Caribbean hillside escape. The property overlooks the calm Caribbean sea with St Lucia's iconic Piton mountains within view. The villa features a pool and blends seamlessly with the flora of it's quiet surroundings. We are a Covid-19 certified accommodation.
Soak in the stunning scenery that is St Lucia's west coast. The villa has one of the best and most coveted views of properties on the island, all the while providing a truly St Lucian feel on the inside and out with the necessities of home. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, dining area and kitchen. Two rooms have king beds and the other has two double beds.
The villa rests atop a lush hillside leading about a 1 mile from the town of Soufriere and is accessible by car. We recommend that you let us help you get to the villa (whether you are in a rental or in a taxi).
The villa is in a private residential area so non-local taxi drivers may not be familiar with the area. We are more than willing to help arrange transportation to the property. Please let us know of you travel plans and we will accommodate you.
15 minutes away is the scenic town of Soufriere where some of St Lucia's famous sights such as the Piton Mountains and Sulphur Springs can be found. 5 minutes in the other direction is the pristine, black sand Anse Chastanet Beach. If you are looking to dive/snorkel; one of St Lucia's highly sort after spots is the Anse Chastanet Reef right off the beach.
This beach is home to Anse Chastanet Resort and some of the best restaurants in the area such as Apsara; an innovative fusion of modern East Indian and Caribbean cooking, a celebration of St Lucia's historical and cultural ties with East India. If relaxation is key nearby Kai Belte Spa is a must.
For the adventurous neighbouring Anse Mamin Beach is home to Bike St Lucia and Kayak St Lucia. There is 8 miles of bike trails making for an amazing jungle biking adventure. There you can enjoy trails catered to all experience levels from novice to expert. Bird-watching/hiking is popular in this area teeming with lush tropical forest and colonial ruins taking you back into some of St Lucia's colonial past.
We have a special arrangement with Anse Chastanet Resort staff to extend certain courtesies to villa residents. Similar to other reviews- we had a wonderful stay. You want to be outside all the time as the view never ceases to amaze. We are a family of four with 2 teens who swam in the pool nonstop. At night we enjoyed watching movies on the smart TV. The road is intimidating especially if you are not used to having to use 4WD. Get a 4WD vehicle. At times it is very steep and narrow. It definitely made it a less likely that we would want to spontaneously go to town for a quick grocery run so plan ahead. That being said- the Villa is the end of the road so the house is extremely private. The house is extremely well stocked. There is complimentary bug spray, sunscreen, after-sun gel, razors, mosquito repellent coils, etc. in case you forget or don’t have some of those items. Even a little “library” with plenty of books to read during your stay. Kitchen also very well-stocked with basic spices, vegetable oil, and every small appliance you can think of. We slept great and the house cooled down nicely at night for sleeping. It was very nice to have the amenities of the resort, Anse Chastanet, available for our use. We ate at the restaurant several times, hung out at the beach and snorkeled. They have many activities available. The staff and our contact, Jonathan, were stellar. Overall our stay was great in every way. I recommend this Villa to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy that view with secluded privacy.

Absolutely a fantastic week! 2 couples traveling together and enjoyed one of the best views of the Pitons on the island! The villa is a clean, private and comfortable stay with a stocked kitchen and separate baths for each king bedroom. We rented a jeep and enjoyed the hiking, knifing, fishing villages, restaurants and all of the things at Anse Chastanet Resort. Yoga in the morning, kayaks, snorkel gear and SUPs for use. The St Lucian’s are friendly, fun people. We all agree that we will be visiting again soon.

We had a fabulous stay at Villa Atabeyra! From the beautiful views and mountain breezes, to the fabulously helpful host/manager Jonathan, to the great access to the Anse Chastenet resort - everything was top notch. The drive to the top was quite something (not for the faint of heart), but can be done in a 4wd vehicle. Definitely meet up with Jonathan before going your first time so he can show you the way. We were glad to have rented a car so we could go on excursions as we pleased. Absolutely beautiful place - we will be back!

The best vacation we have ever had. Our host, Jonathan, was spectacular and helpful in every way. The view is unbelievable and the best on the island. Waking up with an espresso before heading down to the beach is unbeatable. Don’t worry about the road to the resort, you get used to it. The villa has privileges to use the resort amenities which is a huge bonus. There is even a resident cat, Nutmeg. We loved her and hope that future travelers give her as much love as we did. She loves cheese and meats. If you’re visiting the Villa soon, we left some food for her in the kitchen cabinets. We were sad to leave her at the end of our trip. We will be back soon!!!
