This property is very family friendly! The game room in the garage was great. The location to activities is perfect. Close to the Harpers Ferry Visitors Center and downtown Harpers Ferry. The Toy Train Museum is a 5 minute drive. Antiques and flea markets are 15-20 minute drive. The house is at the end of a dead-end street with a lovely deck overlooking the Shenandoah River. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and utensils for eating in.The Little Red Barn Ice Cream was less than a 1/2 hour drive away and well worth the trip if you like ice cream. Their portions are incredible as was the selection of flavors.Great weekend getaway. I'm so glad we stayed here! We would definitely come back again if we need a place to stay in this area.

The description of the house was accurate and the location ideal. However, the heating of the house was a big issue. The thermostat in the kitchen/living room controlled the heat upstairs. And for whatever reason, while the downstairs was very cold, the heat upstairs was VERY hot. In order to sleep comfortably we had to turn the heat down to 63 but then people downstairs were very cold. I really think this issue needs to be addressed. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay but that’s a pretty big issue.
