The house is located in the Folly Field area. The closest beach is Folly Field Beach. There is a dedicated paved path from the house all the way to the beach. Walking to the beach takes about 9-10 min (it can take longer with kids or older family members).
You can drive your car or a golf cart to the beach. There is beach parking with 51 metered parking spaces and 3 ADA-accessible spaces.

We had a wonderful week with a large family group, but a few maintenance & supply issues kept this from being a 5 star stay. The property was very nice: clean, spacious & plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. The pool was a huge hit & there were tons of linens, towels & toys that we enjoyed using. The location is great: safe, family-friendly & just a short walk to the beach. That said, we were woken up on 3 separate nights from people shouting & partying. As for the property itself, there were a lot of small issues that added up over the week.We were notified upon arrival that the kitchen faucet was broken & while someone came to fix it, it never worked properly. We ran out of dish soap & kitchen garbage bags which we had to purchase. If you have a large group coming, you will need to bring extra toiletries. We had 10 guests & used all that was provided. The movie theater had a speaker pulled from the wall with disconnected wires, which would have rendered it unusable if my son-in-law hadn't retired the system. We had to resolve a chirping smoke alarm. We also had to purchase a putter so the kids could use the putting green. None of these are deal breakers & the property itself was a great space for our families to have meals together & connect. A little more attention to pre-arrival walk-throughs, restocking & maintenance would easily make this a 5-star experience. We still had a fantastic trip; I just wanted to flag these things for future guests & the host.

The house was in excellent condition, and the outdoor area was where we spent most of our time. The biggest oversight was parking, as we had multiple groups coming from all over and ended up needing overflow parking. The garage can barely fit a full size pickup, but even with that 6 vehicles can fit as long as the garage has sedans or smaller SUVs inside. There is overflow parking available for free at Chaplin Community Park just down the road and was used for the duration of our 5 day stay without issue, but not sure if that will always be the case. The rental company was fairly active inside the gated community after the 10pm curfew which was pretty strictly enforced. Overall, the house fit all 24 of us with ease and we were able to comfortably sleep, cook, eat, and relax together without issue.
