Neighbourhood highlights
The Lodges at Canmore is located in the main tourist condo area. The local bus is nearby, with connections to a bus to Banff, Lake Louise and Calgary. If you come by airport shuttle the stop is a few minutes up the road. This is a licensed, legal condo, so your booking is assured. Coffee shops, liquor store, general store etc. are all 10 minutes walk away. If you need a little pampering, One Wellness spa is gorgeous, and is located within Solara Resort just up the road. Getting around
Free local Roam transit is available within Canmore, with connections to Banff and Lake Louise (fares apply). Legacy Trail bike path to Banff is literally a one minute ride away. Canmore is highly walkable, with dedicated paths for both foot traffic and bikes all over town. Bikes can be rented from Gear Up, a 15 minute walk from the home.

This location was a good value for our family of four’s first visit to Banff, Yoho, and Kootenay National Parks. It was reasonable and easy drive from the airport in Calgary, amenities were close by, and the drive to Banff was easy (possibly easier than normal given the parks were free in July). We were sure to try out one of the hot tubs after having gone on our hikes. The front desk staff was friendly and parking always worked out well for us. The unit was well stocked for meals we prepared and was very clean. We would certainly stay there again.

The unit is clean with everything you need, our family was very comfortable, perfectly located, easy access to town or highway

The microwave not fully working, the broken threshold, having to go out and buy our own toilet paper, and cleaners coming in to empty the dryer on our first day all contributed to a less than ideal stay. And while those are all minor things in and of themselves, it's the details that matter.
