The house was built using eco-friendly construction methods, incorporating natural and sustainable materials such as stone, cork, wood, ceramic bricks, roof tiles, granite, and water-based paints… It is also a passive house, equipped with solar panels for hot water, an organic vegetable garden irrigated with rainwater collected in a cistern, and highly energy-efficient systems for both the home’s underfloor heating and the pool water heating. The most spectacular areas of the house are the rooftop terrace, where you can enjoy incredible, sweeping views of the sea and the beautiful colors of the sky at sunset, and the terrace by the pool. Another charming feature is the organic garden and fruit trees (grapefruit, orange, lime, lemon, fig, avocado, cherimoya, mango, papaya, and pomegranate), from which you can pick the fruit when it’s ripe. It has 4 bright double bedrooms that blend seamlessly with the garden, each with its own modern bathroom featuring a walk-in shower; each room also has its own small garden for a private outdoor space. It features a heated pool (7.6 x 3.30 m) that can be used year-round, surrounded by a spacious area for comfortable lounging with hammocks and lounge chairs. The living-dining room is impressive due to its 5-meter-high ceiling and a dry-stone wall crafted by local artisans who sculpt the stone; it features a cozy fireplace and is integrated with a lovely porch overlooking the pool. The kitchen, complete with an island, is open to the living-dining room. Next to the kitchen is an outdoor dining area, a very cozy spot to enjoy the sun. In the service entrance, there is a laundry room equipped with a sink, washing machine, and dryer—very practical.
This house is ideal for any time of year; in summer, its north-facing orientation, the sea breeze, and natural cork insulation, and the fact that all rooms have multiple windows for cross-ventilation keep it very cool; plus, all bedrooms have air conditioning and fans. In winter, it stays very warm thanks to the high windows that let in the winter sun—which is at a lower angle—as well as the underfloor heating and the fireplace with a wood-burning insert. The house features outdoor areas on both the south and north sides, allowing you to enjoy the outdoors year-round—with shade in the summer and sun in the winter.
