Welcome to Pisgah Retreat — a breathtaking custom home offering privacy and captivating mountain views! Conveniently located less than 15 minutes from Dupont State Forest, Pisgah National Forest, and the town of Brevard, this gorgeous home sits on a secluded lot nestled in the mountains. Whether you choose to go hiking, biking, shopping, or simply stay home and relax, this will undoubtedly become your family's new favorite home-away-from-home.
Upon arrival, you'll find easy access to the main level of the home through a welcoming entrance that leads into the main living space. The open-concept great room is bathed in natural light, thanks to a stunning wall of windows that frame the expansive mountain views. Vaulted tongue-and-groove ceilings and rustic beams pair perfectly with the comfortable furnishings, large flat-screen TV, and cozy stone fireplace with gas logs. Adjacent to the living area, the dining space features a table that comfortably seats 8—ideal for gathering together after a day of adventure. The kitchen is well-equipped with a gas stove, standard coffee maker, and everything needed to prepare gourmet meals during your stay.
Upstairs, you'll find the loft, a half bath, and the primary suite. The loft is open to the main level, making it a cozy second gathering space for both kids and adults. It features a sofa, TV, DVD player, and a selection of games to keep everyone entertained. Just off the loft through double doors, is the primary bedroom suite, which boasts a king-sized bed, large TV, and a cozy seating area with a daybed—perfect for relaxing or enjoying a good book after a day of hiking. The ensuite bathroom features dual sinks and a walk-in shower.
On the main level, you'll find two bedrooms. Bedroom 2 offers a queen-sized bed, while Bedroom 3 has two sets of bunk beds, perfect for kids or adults alike. These two bedrooms share a full bathroom with a tub, large vanity with double sinks, and a separate water closet.

As your host during your stay, White Squirrel is easy to reach by text or phone. Each home we manage is stocked with fresh, professionally laundered linens and supplies to make your stay comfortable. Confirmed guests will receive a text message to the cell phone on the reservation, with a link to the essential information needed to enjoy your stay, like door code and directions. Guests can go straight to the property they have reserved at check-in time.

We had an amazing stay at the property. The views were absolutely breathtaking and even better than we expected. In fact, the property was even more impressive in person than in the photos. Everything was exceptionally clean, well maintained, and felt brand new. The entire home had a fresh, new smell that made it feel welcoming and comfortable from the moment we arrived.The attention to detail and upkeep of the property really stood out. Waking up to the incredible views each day was a highlight of our trip. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, spotless, and relaxing getaway.

Our family of 6 (3 adults and 3 children) loved the functionality and layout of this rental, and we still had plenty of room to spare. We would definitely stay here again when returning to the area.

This house was light-filled and perfect for our needs. Super well cared for, spotless, and well appointed. Something to note is that there is not alot of flexibility in checking in early or having a late check out. The check in time is a firm 4pm and the check out time is 10am which truly did cut time off our stay (especially check out). Nonetheless, the house was a good find!
