It has a private parking space in the garage, which is only accessible by a small or medium-sized car, due to the restricted external manoeuvring area. A few steps away there are free public car parks, but we warn that they are often full during the peak season. Other public pay car parks are 600 metres away.COLONNO & SURROUNDINGSColonno is a charming little village on the western shore of Lake Como, in Lombardy, known for its natural beauty and authentic charm. This picturesque village is an ideal place for those seeking quiet and breathtaking views. The view of the lake, with its crystal-clear waters and reflecting mountains, is one of the main attractions. Colonno is also an excellent starting point for excursions into the surrounding green hills. Trails from the village offer beautiful panoramic views of the lake and mountains, such as the famous Greenway to Griante. Thanks to its location, it is a peaceful corner away from the tourist hustle and bustle. It is perfect for those who wish to immerse themselves in the nature and serenity of Lake Como.
Please note that there are no bars or restaurants in Colonno and that the nearest supermarket is called Sigma in the village of Lenno, 3.5 km away.GETTING AROUNDPlease note that the taxi service on Lake Como is not always reliable or readily available. We therefore advise against relying on it once you have reached your destination. We suggest evaluating alternative options such as public transport (buses and boats), hiring a car or using pre-booked private drivers.
The bus stop is 180 m from the villa, while the boat stop is a few steps away. Please note that there are only 2 boats per day that pass through Colonno: one in the morning and one in the afternoon. In the nearby town of Argegno, however, you will find a boat every hour.
Easy to reach from the airports, Milan and Lugano, all of which are about an hour's drive away.

Villa Annette was a heavenly place to stay on Lake Como. The villa is beautiful/ with lake views from every room and easy access to the ferry and swimming. The kitchen is well appointed and the balcony with retractable awning was a perfect place to sit and watch the lake.The garage was convenient but not suited for a larger car, so we had to find public parking which was harder on the weekends. There is a public bus and ferry but both can get very crowded so we needed to drive most places, which was also crowded with narrow roads.

We absolutely loved our stay. The hosts were responsive and although the villa is a little hard to find, the VIEWS! Loved the decor too. Very Wes Anderson, designer approved. Will stay here again.

The villa was exactly as described, clean and very well equipped with and thoughtful extras like coffee and water and soap. Beautifully decorated, every bedroom is equally nice, all with good views of the lake. We gave up trying to park in the garage as the road is so narrow, but could park overnight for free outside and for 5, a short walk south. Wonderful view from the balcony with the sun in the morning. There is a small stony beach to the right of the small harbour for lake swimming.Colonno is away from the main tourist hustle and as such we found we needed to travel to a shop or restaurant. There are not many pavements, so walking is not an option and parking is difficult to find. The slow ferry service from Colonno only left once a day, but worked well for us to travel up to Bellagio, Mennagio, Varenna, and Bellano on different days ( "free circulation" ticket for 15 a day, allows you to get on any ferry or bus.) Booking and finding the villa was easy. The host answered all my questions very quickly when asked. I paid and send passport photos via a link to the hosts website rather than through Vrbo.Overall, it was a really lovely villa, and I would highly recommend it.
