Stunning 3400 square foot home with two levels of deck space offering a spectacular long-range Mountain view! This upscale 3BR 3.5bath home sits on 2 acres on a quiet gravel road and has a new paved driveway. It is surrounded by undisturbed private acres in a natural setting that is especially beautiful at sunset. With 3 levels and sleeping accommodations for up to 6 adults and 4 children, this is a terrific place for a family gathering or a Highlands weekend getaway.
The main level includes a living room with French doors leading to the upper deck, a wood-burning fireplace, kitchen with a gas stove, and a dining area seating 6. The master bedroom has a king bed, en suite bathroom and French doors leading out to a private screened deck with an outdoor dining table. Downstairs, a second living room with direct access to the garage allows extra space to entertain with TV, ping pong table, foosball table, and a kitchenette area that opens up to the lower deck. It also has a bedroom with a queen bed, a full bathroom, and laundry room. Upstairs, the loft has two twin beds and a futon for extra sleeping. Also upstairs, a third bedroom has a king bed and full bathroom. Outside, there is a seated fire pit area to roast marshmallows, and enjoy a glass of wine as the sun sets!
Or if going out to dinner and shopping is more your speed, we are conveniently located 10 minutes from the restaurants at Highlands outpost, the Vineyard at High Holly, and Julep farms. And we are 20 minutes from the restaurants and shops at the historic downtown Clayton, GA, a Hallmark movie town!
For the outdoor enthusiasts, we are 5-9 minutes from the Highlands Outpost, Highlands Aerial Park, and the Bartram trail, where you can experience the Scaly Mountain Screamer rollercoaster, Extreme Tubing Slide, Gem Mine, winter snow sledding , trout fishing, zip lining, terrific hiking, and RTV tours.
At 4000 foot elevation, Sunset ridge at Scaly Mountain is a great place to escape to a new climate, do some great hiking, and take in all that the highlands plateau has to offer!

Had a great time in Scaly Mnt. With my wife, two sons and some good friends. The home was spacious, and beautifully situated in the mountains with great views. I’d highly recommend this property and hope to stay here again!

Sweet location! Conveniently close to Clayton, Sky Valley, and Highlands for shopping, dining/wineries, and entertainment. Loved seeing the waterfalls and hiking the trails. The house was awesome. Spacious, exceptionally clean, and well-stocked with everything needed. Ideal for neat freaks like me! Super comfortable. Loved having both indoor and outdoor fire options. The solo stove on the deck was perfect. The home offers great privacy with amazing mountain views and gorgeous sunsets. We had a fantastic stay. The area is beautiful and there is no doubt that we’ll be back ! I highly recommend this property.

Nice home not far from Sky Valley, the drive up to home is a little rough ( not paved ) but driveway was .
Big home , nicely done and they have stuff that a lot of places do not have. Like coffee , sugar , salt .. etc.
it gets pretty cold up there , but we went up for my birthday , so fun weekend..!
