Welcome to Sopris House, a beautifully appointed 4-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom home designed for luxury and family fun. Located in a quiet, private neighborhood between Glenwood Springs and Sunlight Ski Area, this is your ultimate mountain retreat with unforgettable views.
Unforgettable Views & Outdoor Living
Enjoy the stunning Colorado scenery from two dedicated outdoor spaces:
Front Deck: Features expansive, unobstructed views of the majestic Mount Sopris.
Back Deck Oasis: Perfect for relaxation and entertainment, featuring a private hot tub, a spacious outdoor dining area, and a gas grill.
The Grand Main Floor (Top Floor)
The top floor is dedicated to luxury living and entertaining:
Gourmet Kitchen: Fully equipped for chefs and designed for gathering.
Two Living Areas: Plenty of space to spread out, including a cozy spot with a gas indoor fireplace.
Master Suite: Luxurious King Master Bedroom with a modern, beautifully upgraded en suite bathroom.
Queen Suite: A comfortable Queen Bedroom featuring its own upgraded en suite bathroom.
Queen Bedroom: Another bedroom that includes a desk and wet bar with access to the back deck.
The Family Fun Zone (Bottom Floor)
The lower level is a haven for younger guests and family hangouts:
Sleeping: A spacious double bunk room provides flexible sleeping arrangements.
Playtime: A dedicated family room with a ping-pong table ensures hours of indoor entertainment.
Convenience: A laundry area with a full bathroom and shower services the lower level and doubles as an easy clean-up space.
Location: Seclusion Meets Convenience
Sopris House offers quiet seclusion while placing you perfectly between adventure hubs:
Glenwood Springs: Just a short drive to world-class hot springs, dining, shopping, and the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park.
Sunlight Ski Area: Perfectly positioned for quick access to the slopes—it's less than a 15-minute drive to Sunlight's family-friendly skiing and winter activities.
Sopris House is the ideal choice for families seeking comfort, luxury, and the very best of Colorado's Rocky Mountain views.
Summer Cooling:
We cool our home using an Evaporative Cooler (Swamp Cooler), which is an energy-efficient and eco-friendly system. In our dry mountain climate, this system delivers a constant flow of fresh, naturally cooled, and subtly humidified air—a welcome, comfortable relief from the dry heat!
A Note on Mountain Wildlife:
Our property is nestled in a beautiful natural environment. While we take meticulous steps to clean and maintain the house and employ professional pest control, it is a reality of mountain living that insects and small field rodents can occasionally find their way inside, particularly during seasonal changes. Booking acknowledges this possibility, and no refunds will be provided for such sightings. Thank you for embracing the charm of the mountains!

A very nice, clean house, included all the amenities we could want. We were entertained numerous times by a flock of wild turkeys , including chicks, just outside the kitchen window. It was a very relaxing trip, we would definitely go back to this property.

The house is wonderful. We enjoyed watching deer and turkey from the hot tub. It was clean, had high end appliances, modern decor, and the communication with the host was great. It was close to Sunlight Mountain and town. We had food delivered most nights with many options to choose from.

The house was perfect. Everything we needed for a family vacation was there. The host was communicative throughout and the whole experience was great. I would definitely stay here again. We got an afternoon snow shower and the hot tub was perfect for sitting in while it snowed.
