The apartment’s front door is reached via a private shaded terrace looking out over unspoiled countryside to the sparkling sea in the Gulf of Asinara. On the terrace, there is a wooden table with chairs and stone benches for relaxed meals al fresco. A glass door leads from the veranda to the open-plan living area. The room is furnished with a sofa and a dining table with chairs. The stylish kitchenette is equipped with a cooker hob, oven, Mokka coffee machine and fridge/freezer.

Bedroom 1: The master bedroom has a king-size double bed and an open wardrobe.
Bedroom 2: The second bedroom is furnished with a bunk bed and a hanging rail. A glass door leads out to the shared courtyard.
Extra: The sofa in the living room converts into a comfortable double bed.

Location
Sardinia’s north-western coast is less developed than the better-known Costa Smeralda but there is a lot to see and do close by. The apartment is in a peaceful area, but close to many of the amenities of Stintino and La Pelosa. There is a supermarket just 3 minutes away, and a range of restaurants for all budgets. For more self-catering options Stintino’s weekly market on Thursday morning, Piazza dei 45, (5 minutes drive) is a treasure trove of fresh local produce.

There is a wide choice of spectacular beaches, with crystal clear sea, on the Stintino Peninsula. The most famous is La Pelosa (10 minutes). If you are looking for somewhere quieter, Spiaggia Punta Negra (2 minutes) might be a better option, but there are plenty of others to choose from. Potential wildlife could be present in the area. 

Asinara Island is a short boat trip from the Marina di Stintino (5 minutes drive). The island is a protected national park so visitors will need to arrange a tour with a registered operator. There are many beautiful hikes on the island, bicycle tours or horse riding treks, plus unspoilt beaches. It makes a wonderful day out.

The fascinating city of Sassari (40 minutes) is one of the oldest cities on Sardinia. Its historic centre is home to many palaces and fine churches but it is less touristy than many other towns on the island.

Alghero airport is 45 minutes away. If you are arriving by ferry, Porto Torres (30 minutes) has boats from Marseilles, Barcelona, Genoa, Livorno or Corsica.
