With a two minute drive, or a 10 minute walk to beautiful Lake Cushman and closest neighborhood to the Olympic National Park Trailheads, this home is perfect for relaxed family vacations or a great starting spot for the BEST hikes in the Olympic National Forest.
This two bedroom home features a gorgeous floor to ceiling river rock fireplace. The vaulted ceilings and giant windows give beautiful Forest views from this luxurious cabin style home in the woods.
The top floor is a large loft used as the master bedroom with king size bed, while the main floor has another bedroom with queen size bed. The daylight basement has a game/rec room with board games, video games, and a ping pong table. There is a bunk bed with full size futon, twin bed on top and a sleeper sofa making the home perfect for accommodating a large group, or comfortable and spacious for a couple of couples.
A short 8-10 minute walk, or two minute drive will bring you down to the waterfront at Lake Cushman. The area features a park play structure, swim area, dock, bathrooms (with shower) boat launch, gazebo with barbecue pits & picnic tables. Renting this home will allow you access to the homes guest pass to access this waterfront park. If you are planning to bring a boat, jet ski or other water craft, you need to let us know before your stay so we can order the guest pass for you boat and trailer. They will not let you in the park without it. There is a small fee for the passes. Message us for more details. There is no moorage at the lake, so all water crafts have to be pulled out in the evening.
The Lake Cushman Golf Course is a short 10 minute drive up the road. It is an easy going, well maintained course with beautiful forest views www.lakecushmangolfcourse.com
There are two kayaks outside the sliding glass door downstairs that guests are welcome to use.
There is a large deck with a barbeque, the perfect spot to relax after a long day of playing in the Olympics or on the Lake
The home is dog friendly with an extra cleaning fee.
No smoking inside. If there is evidence of smoke smell in the house you will be charged a minimum fee of $250.00

We had an amazing stay at this cabin and would absolutely book it again! The cabin is cozy, peaceful, and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. One of our favorite parts was the private lake. Since it’s only for homeowners and their guests, it was never crowded, making it the perfect place to kayak, swim, and unwind. The owners also provide a grill and a gas fire pit, which made our evenings so enjoyable. My son especially loved making s’mores by the fire. A special thank you to the neighbor, Dennis, who lives there year-round. He was incredibly kind and helpful during our stay. He even pressure-washed the kayaks that are there for use, before we took them out on the lake, which was such a thoughtful gesture.If you’re looking for a quiet, comfortable place to relax and enjoy nature, I highly recommend this cabin. We made wonderful memories here and can’t wait to come back!

House was a great location in the forest yet close to the lake. Seeing deer on the property everyday was very fun for myself and children. Sleeping arrangements were great. I appreciated that my toddler had a separate room to sleep in. House was very comfortable.

We had a great weekend at Lake Cushman! We were looking for somewhere close to our kid’s camp and hoped to avoid the loud fireworks of the south Puget Sound—and we found it. It was perfect for us (house was clean and spacious, beds were comfortable, neighborhood was friendly, and we loved how easy it was to walk to the lake). Looking forward to another trip.

Overall the house was very spacious and is great for large family getaways. We've stayed at quite a few house rentals and never have the expectation for everything to be perfect, but would probably not stay at this rental again. Visually everything appears as pictured, but many of the things at this property were not usable. It needs some TLC! Cleaning requirements state we have to put dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start before checking out. Easy request, but the dishwasher was broken and a new one was being delivered. A drying rack, extra kitchen towels and or paper towels should have been provided so we could clean the dishes throughout our stay. We had to drive 20 minutes away to buy overpriced paper towels to dry dishes and still have enough for use while eating, etc. We followed the directions word for word, but could not get the pilot on the wood stove to light downstairs. We usually go for places with a hot tub, but I settled for just the fire pit due to close proximity to the lake. We love sitting around a fire at night, but the fire pit did not work. Propane was full and we held down the button for 30 seconds to allow for heat up but the second you let go of the button the flames went out. We tried holding for various lengths of time and nothing kept it lit. The downstairs is great for kids and teens, but the couch is rock hard if you want to cozy up for a late night movie. The lamp in the loft also had wiring issues and kept going out. Lake was amazing though!
