House 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sleeps 6
House of about 90 m², in an enclosed garden containing a vegetable garden and trees (fig, lemon, orange trees, etc.), not overlooked, with sea views and 2 large terraces for drinking aperitifs or sunbathing. Atypical house, partially air-conditioned (1 bedroom, the dining room), built around a "Corsican straw", which has become a vaulted living room, which is extended by a small covered living room projecting towards the sea. The house is a 10-minute walk from the splendid beach of Ghjunchitu (pronounced Junquidou) and its very pleasant and friendly restaurant, 45 minutes walk from the port of Ile Rousse, via the seaside path, or 3.5 km and 5 minutes by car from the Leclerc de l'Ile Rousse. Calvi airport is 20 minutes away.
The interior of the house has just been completely renovated, with a new fully equipped fitted kitchen and bathrooms and toilets (2) and completely redone.
The usual entrance is directly through the kitchen, which has a window with views of the sea and the garden.
It leads to the vaulted living room, with very thick walls, with an old fireplace. It contains a large screen TV, box/wi-fi and soft 4-seater sofa. It is extended by a very bright room, projecting towards the sea and which serves as a dining room, very useful when the wind is too strong, or the rain is present.
The house contains 3 bedrooms:
- Bedroom 1 is a master suite with an adjoining bathroom and toilet. It is isolated from the living room by 3 steps and a solid door. It includes a large double bed (160 x 200), and a large cupboard with sliding doors to easily store your belongings. It opens onto the entrance terrace. The bedding is new. It is air-conditioned.
- Bedroom 2 overlooks the sea and is equipped with a French window opening onto terrace N°2. It has a large double bed (160 x 200) and the bedding is new. It is also equipped with a large cupboard with sliding doors.
- Bedroom 3 is adjacent to bedroom 2, overlooking the sea and terrace N°2 through a French window. It contains 2 large single beds (90 x 200 cm), new bedding and a large cupboard.
Access to the house is via an electric gate and a private path. It is easy to park between 2 and 3 cars. The cars are on the same level with the terrace N°1 and the entrance through the kitchen, facilitating the transport of luggage or bags of provisions.

All in all a nice house with a beautiful view on the sea!Well equipped with all that is needed.Uncomplicated check-in and check-out - merci beacoup, Marjory!But there are also some things to be mentioned:Air conditioning - alhough the german description of the house is mentioning A/C as an equipment (we expected to have an A/C in each room) there is only one device in the dining room and in one (out of 3) sleeping rooms. As a result, it was not possible to cool down the complete house. Especially the two sleeping rooms in the back of the house (there are some stair steps going up to these rooms) have become very warm - sleeping inside these rooms was therefore really no fun at all!Noise - the house is directly located on the T30 - being the main road from Bastia towards Calvi - hence having really a lot of traffic - until late in the evening and starting again in the early morning. If somebody wants to relax during the day in the garden - I cannot recommend this house!Opening windows at night - what one should do at least in the rooms without A/C - is no good idea - also because of the train that is running next to the coast line below the house.Bad smell from time to time - opening the window in the sleeping room next to the terrasse often was no good idea. From time to time - maybe depending on the temperature - there was a very bad smell coming from the sewerage - at day and at night!

The nearby dream beach Plage de Ghjunchitu can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes.
We can recommend the house.
