It is only a 5 min drive or 10 min walk to Waikanae beach. This is a safe surf beach for the family with a full surf life saving club. Take surf lessons or just enjoy strolling along the boardwalk that runs along a large stretch of the beach. This central location provides an easy drive to vineyards, ecological tours, bush walks, fishing and beaches.A BBQ is available for guest use

We have enjoyed our stay even though the weather was not the best. The house was cosy and it worked well for us, being very central we could walk to town. Thanks to the owners for a lovely stay in their beautiful home.

It was a lovely property, very spacious, clean and so close to town without being noisy as it was a dead end street. It was the most I have paid for bookabach accommodation so my expectation was high. There were a few minor things that could make it better like a better working shower in the ensuite, a few more breakfast plates (3 for 5 staying) that could fit your cereal and fruit, a working TV and would be good to see the view .

Beautiful house & great location. Shame the property is incorrectly listed as being wheelchair accessible. This was a requirement & upon arrival discovering steps, no handles or anything for basic accessibility caused much panic & anxiety. Please alter your listing! Cleanliness was also an issue -sticky floors was just the start. Such a shame because everything else ticked all the boxes.
