This is a place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the calm of a mountain escape.

Living space

The home features a bright, open two-story living area with a loft that creates an easy flow between relaxing, dining, and cooking. Comfortable seating makes it simple to gather for board games, movie nights on the Smart TV, or quiet conversations. Central heating keeps the space comfortable throughout the colder months, making it just as inviting after a day outdoors as it is for a restful evening in.

Sleeping arrangements

Two private bedrooms provide comfortable accommodations for up to four guests.

Bedroom 1 on the main level features a king bed

Bedroom 2 on the upper level features a queen bed

A full bathroom is conveniently located to serve both bedrooms, making the layout well suited for couples, families, or a small group traveling together.

Kitchen and dining

The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals during your stay, with space to cook, gather, and enjoy time together indoors. A dining table offers seating for shared meals, card games, or a warm cup of coffee while planning the day ahead.

Outdoor living

Step outside to enjoy the fresh mountain air from the spacious deck and patio areas. String lighting adds a cozy glow after sunset, a welcoming place to warm up and make s’mores on evenings. The hot tub is available year-round. Outdoor seating and a BBQ grill allow you to enjoy the surroundings when conditions allow.

Family and pet-friendly touches

The home is pet-friendly and well suited for families, with children’s books, toys, dinnerware, and board games available. A private entrance and generous outdoor space add to the ease and comfort of traveling with little ones or four-legged companions.

Pet Policy

We’re happy to welcome dogs to join you on your getaway! Please note that due to allergies, we’re unable to accommodate cats. A $29 pet fee applies per furry friend, per night to help cover additional cleaning and care. Thanks for understanding—we look forward to hosting you and your pup!

Longer Stays

For stays of 14 nights or longer, guests will be asked to e-sign a rental agreement prior to arrival. This agreement helps us comply with local requirements while protecting the property, and will be sent in advance for review.

Location and surroundings

Located in Rio, West Virginia, the property sits about 10 minutes from Bryce Resort and within easy driving distance of state parks, scenic trails, and small mountain towns. Wisitors can enjoy peaceful drives, nearby hiking areas, and the quiet charm of the surrounding region without the crowds.

Good to know

WiFi is provided and works well for streaming and video calls, though speeds may vary due to the remote mountain setting. The natural environment means you may notice seasonal outdoor elements such as leaves or pollen on decks and walkways, even after cleaning.

Perfect for

This chalet is ideal for couples seeking a cozy retreat, families looking for space to unwind together, or a small group wanting a peaceful base near Bryce Resort. Whether you’re soaking in the hot tub under clear night skies or relaxing indoors, the setting encourages rest, warmth, and time well spent.

Note

Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before every arrival, but thanks to the natural mountain setting, you may still notice a few leaves, pollen, or other outdoor touches—especially in certain seasons.

Wi-Fi is included, though due to the remote location it can occasionally be slower or spotty. We recommend downloading any important content in advance so you can fully relax and enjoy your stay.
