Escape to this peaceful mountain retreat, where the gentle sounds of the river invite you to slow down and leave your worries behind. Spend your days fishing for Carolina trout, exploring the beauty of Western North Carolina, and your evenings gathered around the fire pit beneath a sky full of stars. Conveniently located just minutes from Harrah's Valley River Casino and historic downtown Murphy, this cabin is perfectly situated between the Ocoee and Nantahala Rivers, making it an ideal getaway for fishing enthusiasts, hikers, rafters, and outdoor adventurers alike.
This spacious ranch-style log home features an open-concept layout designed for families and groups to relax comfortably together. With three bedrooms, six beds, a crib for little ones, and two full bathrooms, there's plenty of room for everyone. The fully equipped modern kitchen makes preparing meals a breeze, while the separate dining room comfortably seats up to eight guests. Whether you're enjoying your morning coffee on one of the three outdoor seating areas, curling up beside the wood-burning fireplace in the family room, relaxing by the wood-burning stove in the living room, or sharing stories around the riverside fire pit and picnic table, you'll find countless places to unwind.
The entire home is yours to enjoy throughout your stay.
Traveling with your four-legged family members? The fenced area beside the home provides a secure place for them to run and play while you soak in the peaceful mountain surroundings.
For your safety, a Ring doorbell camera and motion-sensor light are installed at the front entrance. Please exercise caution near the river, as the water can be deep and fast-moving. Children under the age of 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
We happily welcome well-behaved pets! To help us keep the home in excellent condition for every guest, we ask that pets stay off all furniture and beds and be crated if left unattended inside the home. If excessive pet hair is found on furniture or bedding, or if any pet-related damage occurs, an additional pet cleaning fee of up to $200 may apply.
Please note that this home is located in a peaceful rural farming community. At certain times of the year, nearby farms fertilize their fields, which may occasionally create noticeable odors outdoors. While this doesn't happen often, it is a natural part of country living and is outside of our control.

Super cute cabin with lots of room to spread out for the family! The cabin has a ton of charm as it is an older home with additions and renovations throughout. HUGE kitchen with a lot of seating between the very large bar and the dining table. The two family rooms were great as it provided a space for the kids separate of the adults if they just wanted to be on their own. Comfortable beds, couches, etc. Back porch is probably one of the best ones we've had at our cabins over the years. It is screened-in which was wonderful. The place is full of birds! We loved watching the robins in a nest at the porch as they raised their babies over the week!! The area is easy to reach and within a few minutes of Murphy and Andrews for shopping, groceries, etc. My only reason for giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is the river bank. The pictures show a steep bank covered in rocks with a small area to go down to the river. However, the bank is severely overgrown with weeds more than 6' tall. The overgrowth nearly blocks the view of the river when in the backyard. The pathway down to the river is overgrown and has poison ivy growing all around it. You cannot fish from the bank due to the overgrowth (hooks get caught in everything). If you can make it down the path, there is room for about 2 people to stand, but you are buried in weeds all around you. We would definitely consider staying here again, but would just assume the river is not accessible for anything. Beautiful place!

The property looks soo much better than the photos! Very clean. Close to the casino and downtown Murphy. Easy to access and the grocery store was close by.

the cabin was lovely but hot! The thermostat could not be adjusted and it was hot and humid!!! The water smelled like sulfer and NO ONE wanted to bath in it. It was a unpleasant experience. The booking was easy, the directions were spot on.
