Built in 1820 by John Ballon, a free man of color, the history of Freeman’s Cottage is detailed in the book "Savannah’s Little Crooked Houses: If These Walls Could Talk," by Susan B Johnson and published by the History Press, 2007.
Located downtown in the heart of Savannah’s Historical District, this charming Savannah vacation rental comfortably accommodates up to four people and features on-premise parking and a secluded garden patio. This property is such a gem! Great location within walking distance to most everything you’d want to see in the Historic District. The parking spot is fantastic and we don’t need to move our car for the entire stay. The house was clean, comfortable, and exactly as pictured.

This cottage was adorable and in a great location downtown. However, it wasn’t as clean as it should’ve been. All flat surfaces were dusty/dirty. AC vents were mildewed. They did send maintenance to clean vents.
