We had a wonderful 8 night stay here. The view cannot be beat and that was the most important thing for us. So, we are overall very happy. That said, be aware that this unit is a bit beat up. There were electrical outlets that didn't work, an outdoor door that didn't open, and a other things not being listed here. The furniture and carpeting are quite worn out, saggy, and mostly uncomfortable. Important cleaning was good (kitchen counters and bathrooms), but we found some surprises . Bedrooms were comfortable and the bedding was nice. A little inexpensive love would make this place amazing. Stubbs replaced a broken patio chair and provided a long electrical cord, so we could use the lamps in the living room that needed the broken outlets to use. The other issues I guess are the owner's. If the view is what you care about, this place will make you happy.

This unit does have a beautiful ocean view and easy access to the beach. It is conveniently located and walkable to restaurants and services. However, the unit is in serious need of updating, particularly with respect to the stained carpets and cratered living room furniture. We had several insect bites from sitting on the living room couch. We used bed coverings and towels to cover the furniture and purchased a hall runner to cover part of the carpet. The unit is poorly insulated and this made for difficult sleep during a San Diego summer "heatwave". The provided fans didn't compensated adequately. We purchased a room AC unit so we could get decent sleep. Happily, the master bedroom mattress was a good one, while the second bedroom mattress was acceptable. Window coverings did not really block nighttime light well. There was no screen on the main patio sliding door which made ventilation risky. While the ocean breeze was cool, the design of the unit did not allow airflow from the beach side of the unit to the bedrooms. The staff at Stubbs was consistently sympathetic to our needs and supportive of our efforts to make the unit livable. That was much appreciated and we would recommend their services, if not this particular unit.
