Hawthorne Hideaway

The house was advertised and maintained perfectly. The communication with the owner was always quick and helpful

Close to shopping restaurants and grocery store as well. Good communication. Super cute, quiet neighborhood. Backyard was spacious as well.

Great place.

The booking process was a bit crazy due to the owner needing to change the price since the website wasn’t working. Then check-in was easy. When we got to the home there was a smell of smoke. We felt we should have been warned since one member of our party has severe asthma and the smoke caused issues. Also the kitchen is not stocked in a way that is functional. There are no cookie sheets, dishes that can go in the microwave, or larger bowls or hot pads. The dishes that are there have metal in them meaning they can’t be microwaved. The unit was broom swept clean. While there is an outside space there is no patio furniture. The grill would be useless since there are no grilling tools. The location was great. But the house looks very unkempt from the exterior. We wanted a comfortable house for a reading retreat and the house worked for that purpose but I wouldn’t stay at this house again.
