Your family can relax and recreate at this charming Adirondack lake community, pet friendly home in the woods, 24 miles from Lake Placid, between the towns of Tupper Lake and Saranac Lake. Pet friendly.
Secluded private lake community with a beach, docks, lawn and picnic tables on Upper Saranac Lake. Paddle, sail, bike, hike, climb, ski, x-c ski, snowshoe, snowmobile.

The space
Perched on a hill in the forest, this rustic and cozy Adirondack mid-century expanded cape style home is a 5 minute walk from the community beach and docks on the lake. If hills concern you, you can see pictures of the driveway in the listing.
Pet Space: The Deck you see in the main picture has a gate, and screened door into the porch/house, that holds most dogs well, so they can be outside and/or in the screened porch at their will, and not need to be watched all the time, as long as a standard height railing will hold them!
Main Floor: Large, open living room/dining room/kitchen area with laundry, master bedroom, and full bath. A big deck with gas grill and screened in porch, perfect for entertaining the whole family.
UPSTAIRS: Three bedrooms that share a bath, and the house is bathed in sunlight within the tree top canopy. Two of the bedrooms are "semi-private", meaning you have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other bedroom, and to the shared bath. If you MUST work, the upstairs bedroom/office desk lets your spread out, and get it done in the natural light. A second desk and community dining table on the main floor provide more than enough space for productivity.
The Lake House is on a hill with a considerable driveway, so if you are visiting in cold weather you yiou should consider a Four Wheel Drive Vehicle. There are pictures of the driveway in the listing. Please CONTACT US with any questions.
Camera (motion activated, no sound) on the front of the house is aimed at the driveway so that we may monitor the driveway.
This camp is in the woods. You may see signs of wildlife. We have hummingbirds just off the back deck, and a chipmunk who comes and visits on the deck. The house is on a hill surrounded by trees. Most of our guests love it for it's rustic authentic ADK forest setting in a beautiful lake community. Please know ahead of time that it is woodsy and rustic. Also, while your pets are welcome, (and loved) at our home and on our property, they are NOT allowed on community property, particularly at the beach.
Guest access
Guests have the use and exclusive access to the entire main house including 4 bedrooms, two baths, open kitchen/dining room/living room, Open deck and screened in porch, and unfinished basement main access with water toys and second refrigerator.
The community waterfront is a 2 minute drive, or 5 minute walk away, or bike. Guests have use of the beach, lounge chairs, picnic tables, docks. All use of the community waterfont, lake, docks and boats is at the risk of the guests. There is no lifeguard on duty. Pets welcome at our property, but not allowed at community property, (beach)
Other things to note
This home is close to the western access to the Adirondack High Peaks region for hiking and climbing, and endless lakes and rivers to explore by paddle, sail, or power boat. Winter sports include skiing, x-country, snowshoe, and snowmobile.
Just 24 miles away is Lake Placid, home of "The Miracle on Ice", and all of the 1980 Winter Olympic Sports Venues for countless World Cup Tour Competitions.

Bruce was a wonderful host; he was very personable and always quick to respond, even with little things like when we couldn’t find the iron. He offered excellent suggestions of dining and entertainment in the area and was just overwhelmingly kind from start to finish. The place itself was great, clean and had several amenities. Thank you for a wonderful stay for our special celebration!

The owner is wonderful. Communication is easy as he is very responsive and helpful. We booked the house thinking that some of our children and grands would join us and unfortunately, all canceled at the last minute. Consequently, the house served as home base for long visits to Montreal and Vermont.Tupper Lake has a wonderful Wild Center and Racquette Brewing was a favorite. Excellent restaurants in Saranac and Lake Placid. Our only complaint was the rain!!! It was constant and that put a damper on all.We were able to sit by the lake on one night. Bring water shoes for the lake.

From the booking to check out our stay was wonderful. The camp is equiped with everything you need for a stress free stay in the ADK. We stayed with our family, 14, 19, 21 and our dog Scoobie! And our sons girlfriend. The rooms and beds were comfy and plenty of room. We are a fan sleeping family and they had fans galore!! The fire pit is perfect! Easy to get to and great wood supply. My whole family said 10 out of 10!! Would recommend for family get away! We would definitely come back!!
