WE CANNOT CONTROL IF GOLF BALLS ENTER OUR PROPERTY!
**** We have surveillance cameras on the property to insure property and guests safety. There are 2 outdoor cameras that face each door on the decks and a door bell camera that covers the driveway. There is an indoor camera that is portable and kept in our locked area, The indoor camera is only hooked up when the house sits empty.
Constructed in the Old Nags Head style of the 'unpainted aristocracy,' this house, known to friends and family as 'The Buckeye Beach Inn,' is filled with surprising amenities.
Featuring a pool larger than the ones at most hotels on the Outer Banks and multiple expansive decks. The perfect family getaway. We are proud to be offering it as a vacation rental!
There is off street parking for 6+ cars. A detached garage serves as a pool room and bar, complete with flat screen tv, casual sitting, pool table, and bathroom. This means you can have tons of fun without worrying about waking anyone up!
The huge, sprawling, multilevel deck overlooking the golf course surrounds the house and ascends to the massive swimming pool on the lower level. There is plenty of outdoor seating (four picnic tables with umbrellas), chairs and loungers. The pool is completely private and sheltered from the wind by an outer wall.
We have two outside showers, one enclosed, and one on the pool deck. In addition, there is a charcoal grill.
The main level of the house is a large open floor plan with kitchen, dining area, and den with two sofas and large flat screen tv. Three of the four bedrooms and two baths are also on this floor. Two bedrooms feature queen beds, one bedroom features a pyramid bunk (one twin, one double). There is also a small office area with desk, perfect for surfing the web with our free wi-fi.
Up a small flight of stairs is a second large den with dining area and wet bar. Off to itself, it's the perfect place to put, or escape from, the kids. This room has two sofas, a 42 inch flat screen, and dining table.
The master suite is located above this area on its own private floor, accessible via spiral staircase. This spacious room, with king bed and flat screen tv, has a private balcony with ocean and golf course views. It's the perfect place to sit at the end of the day with a beverage, or to watch the sunrise over the ocean if you are an early bird. This room also has its own bath.

Overall, we had an amazing vacation and would absolutely rent this house again! We had 7 adults and 1 infant, and it was a great fit for our family.**Pros:*** The pictures don't do the property justice. The deck and pool are much larger than they appear.* We had read a review about the pool bottom being rough but never noticed it.* The upstairs master suite is spacious and was perfect for our daughter, son-in-law, and baby, with plenty of room for a crib and toys.* Two living areas gave us plenty of space, although we mostly gathered in the family room by the kitchen.* The kitchen was well stocked for cooking.* The house was very clean, and the washer and dryer were a huge plus.* The game room/garage was a great hangout space.* Excellent location close to grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping.* The owner was very responsive when the internet briefly went out.**Things to know:*** Bedrooms are on the smaller side, but that wasn't an issue for us.* Most mattresses were comfortable, although the back bedroom mattress could use an update.* The home sits on a golf course, so a few golf balls landed on the deck during our stay.* There are numerous stairs, elevation changes, and wooden walkways (with a few loose boards), so it may not be ideal for elderly guests or anyone with mobility concerns.The pool was our favorite part—we spent every afternoon and evening there. For the price, this home is an excellent value, and we'd definitely stay here again!

We had 7 adults and 1 child, it was perfect! The house is huge! We had the room with the spiral stairs. And it was perfect for my husband and I and child. Our child had the living room to herself for her games drawings ect, even when we were all together in 1 room it wasn’t crowded. The pool is amazing. It does have a deep end. We would definitely book again here no questions. And yes golf balls do come flying. But you also get a quick heads up by the golfer yelling. Definitely recommend 100%

I think the pictures didn't do enough justice to the property. We were pleasantly surprised by the space and how nice the house was compared to the photos! Host was also quick to respond to any questions and very helpful.

Owner: Extremely responsive and helpful. Internet went down during our stay and they helped get us connected again.
Cleanliness: The updated part of the home was fairly clean however the windows/doors were actually a bit grimy.
The older part of the home and master were unclean. Carpets were dirty, lots of animal hair. The bathroom upstairs was also dirty, shower was not clean with hair inside. The spiral staircase should probably be replaced at some point soon.
Kitchen: Well stocked, nice appliances, some of the dishes needed to be cleaned before use.
Golf Course: We knew we’d be on a course however had we known it wouldn’t have been safe, we would’ve selected a different house. It was really bad, around 20-30 balls landed in the backyard throughout the week. At one point, 4 balls landed within 20 minutes. One was inches from hitting my wife and son in the head, one almost hit my mother and another hit me in the ankle. It got to the point where we felt unsafe in the backyard. We’d highly suggest looking into a net/screen to help prevent shots from coming in.
Even after hours kids were slicing balls into the yard.
Pool: Deep end is very deep so be careful if you have young children. Pool is also falling apart, definitely needs to be repaired, along with the decking on the backside of the pool.
Outdoor showers were very convenient
Garage was fun! We played tons of pool
Bugs: Just noticed large cockroaches on the deck and garage (3”!)
