You are also close to Oceanside Strand, Pier and Harbor, but without the noise and congestion. Right outside the unit is direct access to a great beach. There are so many places to explore by foot or bike. You don't ever have to leave your little bubble at the beach. If you wanted to take a ride down to other parts of San Diego the train station is right there. Legoland, Carlsbad Outlets, Flower Fields, Golf Resorts and Del Mar Race Track are just minutes in the car. There are always local events, surf contests, concerts, art walks and a farmers market every Thursday. Nightlife is fun, too, with great wine bars, breweries and a wide range of food at one of the many amazing local restaurants nearby. See our list of favorites in the house manual. This is a super roomy place for a large group. We were parents, grandparents and grandkids....you can always find a quite space, or enough space for all. The Master bed and living room open on to the enclosed deck. The "Deck" is seriously the best room in this great house. Large pull up screened windows overlooking the ocean, Beds, raised chairs, and a large table. The grands loved sleeping out there. You can watch the surfers at the beach across the street. But, keep in mind there is only beach at low tide. However, The Strand is close by.The back bedroom has a great shower, and a/c. The Master bath has a huge tub to soak in. the kitchen is well stocked, but, as with any rental, bring the spices you will want, just in case, and knife sharpener. Bit of a distance to supermarkets, convenience stores nearby. The parking was great. We had to take the car carrier off, but, just put in the parking secomn parking spot. Beach items are in the garage cabinet. We did have a glitch. it was minor and promptly handled by Cheryl to our satisfaction. So, we loved it. Perhaps, a little pricey. But, it was peak, and it was was worth it. Already, thinking about when we will return.

The property decor was lovely….getting into the property was a nightmare…after driving 6 hours it took 20 minutes to enter due to a faulty lockbox…with the amount paid you would think replacing the lockbox would be a small cost to give the customer a good first impression…also it is more than 20 steps to the sand, more like 200 steps…this “20 steps” gave a false impression of closeness to beach…moreover no one mentions the boulders to be climbed to access the beach.

This property is amazing!! Love the decor, location, cleanliness, communication, skylights, and ocean view and breeze! Great place to stay. I am an interior decorator & work to find special stays. I also own an Airbb in waco, Tx. This place was great- I could spend the summer here!
