Every inch of this light-filled cottage has been designed for both comfort and simplicity. As you ascend the private staircase to your home-away-from-home, you'll find a quiet sanctuary perched among the trees—separate from the main house, yet part of the warmth of the larger property.

Inside, the open-concept living space welcomes you with soft textures, stylish touches, and an easy flow between the kitchen, dining, and lounge areas. The fully equipped kitchen makes it effortless to cook a casual breakfast or prepare a picnic for the beach, while the cozy sofa invites you to unwind with a good book or enjoy a movie night after a sun-drenched day on the lake.

The private bedroom features a queen bed with crisp linens and plenty of natural light, offering a restful place to retreat at day’s end.

A well-appointed bathroom with fresh towels and essentials ensures your stay is as seamless as it is restful. Thoughtful details throughout the cottage—like soft throws, gentle lighting, and curated touches—bring out the personality and care that make Chestnut Cottage feel like more than just a place to stay.

Though it’s nestled in a peaceful spot just off the beaten path, Chestnut Cottage is wonderfully close to everything. You’re a short walk to the heart of Douglas, where you’ll find local cafés, galleries, and shops, and just a quick drive or bike ride from the iconic dunes and shores of Oval Beach and the charm of nearby Saugatuck.
