The Wave Den is a quaint 4-bedroom recently renovated cottage tucked away in a private cul-de-sac surrounded by live oaks in the charming Sound and Sea Village of Duck. With only a 5-minute walk (1,000 ft) to one of the best (and most dog friendly) beaches in the Outer Banks, you will be sure to make lots of great memories. There is ample outdoor space to savor the warm sunlight and cool ocean breezes during the spring, summer and fall months. And, if it gets too warm there is a shady area under the house for the kids to play and the family to gather around the grill to dine al fresco. The screened-in porch is the perfect place to quietly enjoy a cup of coffee every morning or sip a glass of wine in the evening. The Sound (beautiful sunsets) is only a short walk away. The nearby bike/walking path are great for exercising, walking the dog, or biking into the town of Duck. It’s the ideal ocean-side retreat to refresh and unwind.

My dogs and I had a great time! The cabin is well located as the end of a quiet street but close enough to the beach that you could hear the waves. We spent most of our “cabin time” sitting out on the enclosed porch, which I loved. The cabin is a quick walk to the beach where we spent a ton of time. While I was just me, there was enough room for a family. Taylor answered all of my pre-trip questions quickly so I was prepared for the trip! I used the charcoal grill and I was able to park underneath the house which was great during the thunderstorms. This is a great cabin and I hope we can stay again! (And the sunrises are amazing in Duck! This morning, there were dolphins!)

Great location, two minute walk to the beach, very close to town. The cottage is on quiet street. We had deer visit the front yard several times a day. We really enjoyed are stay and would definitely comeback for future visits. Taylor was very responsive during the entire process.

We enjoyed our stay. The host helped with any needs we had. Our puppy liked his first road trip.
