Dennehof Karoo Guesthouse

Our stay at Dennehof Karoo was truly special. From the very first communication with Inga and Albert, we felt such warmth and genuine hospitality. We were already looking forward to our stay before we even arrived — and our expectations were absolutely exceeded. Everything in the guesthouse has been arranged with so much love and incredible attention to detail. There is something special about every room and every little corner, and you can feel how much thought and care has gone into creating such a beautiful and welcoming place. The same attention to detail continues at breakfast, which was wonderful. It is clear that Inga and Albert put their hearts into what they do and genuinely want their guests to feel comfortable and cared for. We only stayed for one night, but it was enough to leave a lasting impression on us. Dennehof Karoo is one of those rare places where you immediately feel at home — and where you leave thinking, “We wish we could stay another night.” Thank you, Inga and Albert, for making our stay so special. We would love to come back ♥️

The oldest house in Prince Albert oozes atmosphere, yet is completely uptodate wher it counts (comfort and style). The breakfast was not only excellent, it's preparation and presentation were worthy of Michelin stars. The place is run by its owners who are the absolute perfect host to all their guests - helpful, ready to support and advise you and then book any activity/restaurant/... for you. Absolutely perfect

Nothing under control of the Dennehof (the weather was a tad cold for the time of year)

Staying at Dennehof Guesthouse was an absolute Joy. Upon arrival we were welcomed by Albert who informed us that our room had been upgraded, which we very much appreciated. Our room was private and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the linen was really good quality. The room was lovely, we especially enjoyed sitting by the fireplace before bed. The bathroom was spacious and bright, and we appreciated having a bath available, even if we didn't get around to using it on this trip. The property is very well located, right at the beginning of the little town and is immersed in nature. Breakfast each day was a highlight. We sat outside, with the sounds of birds chirping while we had coffee and 2 different courses of breakfast. Albert & Inga are excellent hosts. We chatted each morning, and they gave us great suggestions of things to check out in the town (the Ghost Walk with Ailsa was really memorable). They also made dinner reservations for us which was very helpful. The pool on the property is another highlight. It was really relaxing to sit by the pool and soak up the Karoo sun. We didn't get a chance to use the sauna, but hopefully we will the next time we visit.

Our stay was excellent, there was basically nothing that wasn't satisfactory. The only note is that our room was located next to an old windmill which made some creaking noise during the night but it wasn't too bad and didn't affected our sleep.

The property is beautiful and like a little piece of paradise. It’s quiet and the rooms are lovely, comfortable with all the amenities.
