The house was not very clean upon the arrival, with the primary complaint being dead roaches in multiple places. This could be an indication that fumigation had occurred prior to the arrival. What truly changed the mood however is when a roach walked across our 9-year old. The roach was large enough to wake her up, which then ended up waking the entire house. Not sure whether our experience is common for NC beach houses, but this was not what we were looking for on our vacation
