It was the perfect place to stay on our way to Houston. Everything was perfect! Our dogs felt right at home. The house was spotless and the fenced yard was an added bonus. We would definitely stay there again!!

Exactly as pictured & described. Super sweet hosts! Safe & family friendly area.

The Gathering Place was the perfect place to stay….anywhere. It was so open yet cozy. The location is close to a Walmart Super Center and an HEB so anything you might have forgotten at home was close by. The back yard was very inviting with a covered porch. The house was spotless. The beds comfortable. I wish I could transport this home to all my travel locations.

My sister and I meet in Lubbock frequently so we decided to try a house vs a hotel. This property is conveniently located to things we do. We did stay 3 nights so some things had more impact than a quick stay.Pros: easy to get to, property was well maintained and very clean, communication with the property manager was excellent. Living room was very comfortable. Kitchen was laid out well with good appliances. Backyard had a covered patio and a lot of seating including a table. There is a motion light for safety after dark which is nice. Rate for when we stayed was very reasonable.Cons: on suite bath was updated and nice but shower is very small. Had to turn sideways to get in. I’m fairly petite. Would not work for a larger person but it is finished nicely. Door out to the garage doesn’t lock. Garage doors need a code but it just feels better to lock all the doors in an unfamiliar place. Sliding patio door does face the backyard and looks into living room but it doesn’t have a curtain to pull after dark. Gate out to the alley doesn’t latch well and blew open the last night in the middle of the night. Kitchen was great to cook in with the exception of the pans. They are very “well used” with cracks in the ceramic coating. We actually bought a small pan of our own.
