Our "Blowhole Bungalow" is aptly named for the migrating spouting whales that can be seen from the beautiful, open great room picture windows. And also for the naturally occurring blowhole formed in the rocky coastline just a few blocks from the house.
Just a few blocks in the other direction is a sandy beach for playing, kite flying, tide pool exploring, etc. All within easy walking distance.
The Blowhole Bungalow was designed and built in 2000 to be a welcoming, warm, comfortable and cozy escape for our family. It has been our getaway destination in all seasons of the year where we have treasured our fun and unforgettable times together, and we trust you will find that, too!

PROs: A home built for entertaining. Wonderfully large and open great-room. Pretty views. Garage parking is a plus. The home has all the amenities you need. Key lockbox is convenient for coming and going separate from other family/friends. Close enough to walk to beach. CONs: Stains on bed pillows. Home needs some maintenance repairs, i.e., sink in entryway bathroom is cracked, blue kitchen countertop’s facing/trim is taped on with scotch tape.

We were pleasantly surprised how well situated the rental house was. It was a very comfortable house with nice decor. Several of the recliners could be updated, but still comfortable. We have recommended this rental to a friend who wishes to visit Yachats. It close to restaurants, great walks, and beautiful Cape Perpetua National Forest.

The property is somewhat dated as are the house instructions. The fireplace and the outdoor trash can were ‘locked. It was functional for our group, and it just needs a bit of TLC. Location very good and as advertised.
