The Stag is the most noble animal of our forests, proudly featured on the village’s coat of arms. This charming gîte, the largest in our Renaissance house, offers a romantic and cozy atmosphere. A rare find in Riquewihr: it features two small private balconies, perfect for a chic getaway in Alsace.

Located on the 2nd floor of our residence built on the 1291 ramparts, this high-end holiday rental occupies the entire floor and benefits from a quadruple exposure.

Extremely bright thanks to windows on all four sides, the apartment is bathed in natural light. Its glass-enclosed lounge, designed as a winter garden within the historic oriel window, offers total immersion in the Alsatian landscape.

They form a set of 6 exceptional lodgings around a small garden: 4 of them are located in an old Renaissance house built in the year 1580 on the first rampart of Riquewihr erected in 1291. The property faces the famous vineyard the Schoenenbourg which dominates the village; 2 other apartments complete the series in an adjacent house dating from the 17th century.
All these lodgings have been designed to meet the new 5-star standards for the furnished tourist apartments category.
A small garden with a medieval design gives an exquisite touch of refinement to this original ensemble.

2/ - The holiday homes of the Rempart of the Year 1500
A set of 3 romantic, elegant and comfortable lodgings, decorated in the purest Alsatian tradition. These exceptional lodgings are located on the second belt of ramparts of Riquewihr, completed in the year 1500.
The walls on the west side of our gîtes are made of the rampart itself. The facades on the east side have the appearance of typical Alsatian half-timbered houses. They are quietly located.

Great location, the apartment is as advertised. Quiet and clean with updated appliances, bathrooms, heating and cooling. The owner provided thorough and detailed information about the rental, as well as lists of where to eat and what to do in Riquewhir and surrounding area. Le Grand Cerf was perfect for our group of two couples traveling together. We are planning on coming back as soon as possible.

Hard to describe how enchanting this little town is to begin with. The cherry on top is to have the most amazing place to enjoy it all. Comfortable, cozy, private, romantic large space with fantastic views from each window. All of the amenities and comforts of home. My husband and I spent four magical days here, and were able to easily park each day just down the steps outside of the complex. We traveled easily with a rental car to near by towns and countries. The town and its charming residents, restaurants, sweets shops grocery shops, wineries, charcuteries and more are enough to stay and enjoy all their own as well. Fantastic stay, with an exceptionally welcoming host. Thank you Jean-Paul
