Back deck with view of Currituck Sound - gorgeous sunsets! Front deck off 2 of the 3 bedrooms. Short walk to the ocean, beautiful sunrises! 2.5 mi. north of "downtown" Duck with paved walk/bike path all the way! 1.4 mi. south of The Sanderling Resort!
You can search "bike rentals in Duck, NC" if you are interested in renting bicycles during your stay. Search "beach gear in Duck, NC" if you would like to get your gear when you arrive. You can also search, “golf cart rentals in Duck, NC.”
There are great places to eat nearby in "downtown" Duck. Sit on the back deck at Sunset Grill with outdoor bar overlooking the Currituck Sound and watch gorgeous sunsets. Blue Point is awesome, located right on the Sound as well. There is also Roadside Grill, Duck Deli (great for breakfast, too!), among others. Search "restaurants in Duck, NC" and you'll see a number of great places to eat. Lots of great shops to visit as well. Don't forget to stop by Duck Donuts for fresh hot "homemade-style" donuts! The place was very cozy, clean, and had plenty of room for our family of 4. The host was very easy to communicate with and provided detailed instructions that made check in and out easy. We would definitely book here again, but would rent a golf cart for easier beach trips.

We had a great stay in Duck,NC. We were able to watch the sunset over the sound every night right from our own deck. The kitchen was well supplied with cooking utensils and even a steam pot for making our own seafood! The house was very kid friendly, my kids loved all the rubber ducks they found! The pictures of their own family enjoying this house in the Outerbanks as much as we did was a nice touch to the house to make it feel really family oriented.

Jim did a wonderful job of providing information about the property and things to do. Porch had a great sound view and sunsets. However, an umbrella would have been nice. House is dated and needs cabinet handles replaced as many were missing. Pictures did show a road but traffic was very loud and busy when sitting on back deck. Master bath is small. Kitchen was very well stocked. Property has a nice layout and beds were very comfortable. Weather was perfect.
