Great 60th Birthday Stay in Playa GrandeOur group of four had a wonderful stay the last week of March. This modern home is a reliable and comfortable base for anyone visiting Guanacaste.Property HighlightsModern & Bug-Free: The house is very well-sealed with airtight windows and doors. The AC in every room worked perfectly against the March heat.Strong Wi-Fi: Excellent signal throughout, including the pool area, thanks to an outdoor access point.Outdoor Space: The pool is right outside the sliding doors and offers great relief from the sun. The upstairs deck was perfect for sunrise yoga.Location: Only 8 minutes from the surf at Playa Grande. For calmer water, the cove at Puerto Viejo is 20 minutes away (recommend a 4WD like our Sorento for the dirt roads).A Few Quick TipsKitchen: Has basics like pots and pans, but bring your own olive oil and pantry staples beyond salt and pepper.Beds: Queen mattresses (not Kings). We got decent sleep, though they aren't the highest end.Beach Gear: Bring or buy your own beach chairs, as they are not provided here.OverallA perfect escape from the New York winter. Marcelo was a very responsive manager and we would definitely return.

Property is excellent, we enjoyed the pool and seclusion. The drive up the hill set the mood for the house, and the amazing sunsets each evening just added to it. House is well equipped for cooking, with a trip to the store you wouldn’t have to leave.
