The Boat House in Gearhart Oregon. Leave all your worries behind and enjoy a vacation with your family and friends at this North Coast home. Located in a sleepy neighborhood with beautiful views of nature and a brief walk to the beach. Gorgeous wooden details, along with views of the great outdoors from the wide windows, give this home a natural, peaceful vibe. Despite its quiet atmosphere, the living room provides plenty of activities to enjoy, from gazing at nature out on the balcony to taking in DVDs and cable on the flatscreen TV. The kitchen is nice and cozy and has all the appliances you need to whip up a delicious meal. Take in your food at the dining and breakfast bar seats indoors, or head outdoors to savor it on the deck. Leave dirty dishes for the dishwasher and head off to bed - up to six guests can use this home's two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. and the mother-in-law suite, separate from the home, offers a luxurious king-size bed, a small kitchenette, a private TV with a DVD player, and a private bathroom - it is located above the detached garage and accessible via an outside stairway. Two queens are split between the remaining rooms, with both rooms offering access to the sunroom. This home is perfect, for parties traveling with extended family, who might want their own space.

A unique rental with a mother-in-law suite allowing extra privacy for one couple. Very clean and great beds for sleeping well. Bathroom towels good and generous amount. Bathtub/shower floor could use a rubber mat for safety. Shower water very generous! Kitchen was adequate although we ate out most meals. Some nicks and scratches and wobbly chairs to be expected in an older property. Hallways skirt the perimeter of the house on two sides with all windows floor to ceiling - interesting but one cannot wander in undies here. Bedrooms in main house also have floor to ceiling windows with venetian blinds. Outer hallway windows have no blinds so there is some feeling of lack of privacy even with bedroom venetian blinds down. Stairs in both buildings - not easy for disabled, I would think. Grounds were lovely with bushes and trees, walking paths and pass throughs. A quiet neighborhood when we were there. Fun to walk the area, close to bay and a fairly short walk to beach.

The home was very clean and had ample pillows and blankets. Loved that there was a kitchen and laundry. The only negatives was that there was not enough dish soap and no dish sponge and an upgrade on the cookware would be appreciated.

Welcoming host! Fun house layout, close walking distance to water. Great vacation home for the area!

It was not in the property description that the living area and kitchen were on the second floor and the stairs weresomewhat iffy! Two bedrooms with queen beds were on the first floor. The king bedroom which we wanted was separate from the house over the garage accessed by an outside staircase. As we are 80 and I am in need of a hip replacement, this was not a possibility. The Boathouse has some nice features. The upstairs living room is smallbut has a lot of windows. The kitchen has up to date appliances. I can't image how more than four adults could be comfortable in the living room however. In the summer the deck could be very nice and the property is surrounded by trees. The estuary is a short distance.I cannot imagine why it is not in the property descriptionthat the living area, kitchen and dining are on the 2nd floor! This would be a difficult situation for families that needed to be close to small children as well as for anyone not physically fit. The next day the property managers did try to find something else for us but there was nothing available in Gearhart in our price range sowe stayed where we were. Overall the property managers were very helpful although when we first arrived in the dark (6:00pm) we couldn't reach anyone by phone for two or three hours.:00pm and discovered the situation, we couldn't reach anyone for two or three hours.t
