Fall in love with Wellsboro as you walk downtown with the gas lit lanterns on Main Street or enjoy God’s creation as you hike, fish, snowmobile or kayak in beautiful Tioga County. Great for families.
This vacation home is rented throughout the year! We do accept monthly rentals for traveling nurses and Doctors and we are within walking distance of the hospital.
What a beautiful property this is! You won't want to leave! They say it is all about location, location, location. Well this house has just that. The house was built in 1840 and is in the historic part of down town Wellsboro. If only this house could talk and tell us some stories. I was told that at one time this house was a carriage stop and also a post office. Now it is time for you to make some memories here that will last you for years to come.
You can leave your car parked in the driveway and walk down town or bring your outdoor games as the yard across the bridge is huge. Our kitchen is well equipped for dining in. The dining room is bright and has a table that seats 8 for dining, socializing and games in the evening. There is an enclosed back porch to relax in and a large comfortable living room. We offer a master bedroom on the main floor with a bathroom and shower just off the bedroom. There are 3 additional bedrooms upstairs with a bathroom, tub and shower. You do need to provide your own sheets and towels.
This is a perfect place for couples to gather and spend a weekend together. It is spacious enough to accommodate 4 couples, cozy enough for just 2, or great for a ladies week end away. This is an old house and has a step up to the dining room and a step down to the kitchen, living room and foyer. There is a deck outback to sit and enjoy the sound of the creek as it trickles by. But please, do not walk or sit on the stone wall. An outdoor fire pit is in the back yard for roasting hotdogs or relaxing in the evening. Wi-Fi and Dish T.V. is set up for those rainy days.
Are you a baseball fan…The Little League World Series in Williamsport is about 45minutes to an hour away.
We ask that you keep things clean during your stay and leave the guest house as you found it. Our cleaning people will do all the final cleaning. Please be respectful and courteous to our property and our neighbors.

Four adults shared the house for one night before riding the Pine Creek Trail. House is located close enough to walk to restaurants in town. We not only enjoyed this clean and spacious house but also the town is beautiful, clean and welcoming. Host was fantastic with communications.If we visit the area again, we would check to see if Marlene's house if available.

The pictures do not do justice to this property. It is exceptionally well located for access to the gorge by car and Wellsboro by foot since it is in town. The home is much brighter than the photos. The furnishings are lovely and comfortable. We were not able to bring linens and towels and the owner supplied such for a very reasonable fee.I would stay here anytime and I highly recommend it.My only caveat is that the home, due to when it was constructed, has many step up and step down situations to go from room to room, so if there is someone in your group that has trouble negotiating steps, this may be a problem. However, that said, we were able to use the owner's well placed lamps to remind someone in our group who was 79 where the transitional steps were and that worked out beautifully.I had a few questions before reserving and after and the owner responded incredibly quick.Reserve this place and be happy that it was available.

The House was so charming. It was convenient to everything in Wellsboro from stores, restaurants and hiking trails. The host was very responsive to our questions. The air conditioning worked very well. The back porch was great for relaxing after long days.

I highly recommend this home if you're visiting Wellsboro! The location couldn't have been better—right on Main Street and within easy walking distance of all the shops, restaurants, and local attractions. We stayed during the Laurel Festival and loved being able to walk to all the vendors and enjoy the festivities without worrying about parking.The house itself was spacious, clean, and offered plenty of sleeping options, making it perfect for our group. There was more than enough room for everyone to spread out and relax. If you're looking for a comfortable home in the heart of Wellsboro with an unbeatable location, this is the perfect place to stay. We would definitely stay here again!
