All rooms are very spacious; the property features two large furnished gardens, a barbecue, and a private fenced parking area for multiple cars. The villa has independent heating, and during the winter, you can also stay warm by the cozy glow of the two fireplaces, using firewood provided by the owner. Heating, if used, is billed based on actual gas consumption at cost.

The 17th-century stately villa, renovated in 2011, is a historic and artistic property subject to architectural preservation restrictions by the Superintendence of Fine Arts of Salerno. It is a wing of the adjacent Palazzo Leone.

The villa is completely independent, with no issues related to a homeowners’ association, surrounded by 1,500 square meters of gardens featuring a lawn, centuries-old trees, fruit trees, and antique fountains, as well as a private, fenced-in parking area for multiple cars.

Villa Mimosa is the ideal and strategic base for exploring all the picturesque villages of the Amalfi Coast (about 17 km away): Vietri sul Mare (known for its ceramics), Cetara, Maiori, Minori, Amalfi, Positano, Ravello (with its concerts), the Sorrento Coast (50 km away), the Cilento Coast (45 km away), Naples with its spectacular volcano “Vesuvius” (55 km away), the famous historical and archaeological sites of Pompeii (30 km away), Herculaneum (40 km away), Paestum (45 km away), and Salerno (15 km away); from its port, you can reach, by sea, the islands of Capri and Ischia, as well as all the towns along the Amalfi Coast.

A place away from the chaos and hectic pace of city life, where, upon returning from excursions, you can relax in the spacious, comfortable, and charming flower-filled garden—complete with all amenities—in the shade of the three centuries-old trees: “Tasso,” “Leccio,” and “Abetone,” which, when illuminated in the evening, create a romantic and evocative atmosphere; or in the shade of the cherry or walnut trees, located in the upper garden, from which—during the fruiting season—the Villa’s guests can pick and enjoy the fruit, as well as from all the other fruit trees in the garden (hazelnuts, figs, pomegranate, apple, pear, plum, apricot, serviceberry, jujube, blueberry….)—all organically grown without any chemicals, making them ideal for children.

Using the Villa’s historic wood-fired oven, you can make and enjoy excellent pizzas with the help of a professional local pizza chef. It is possible to organize meetings or catering events, as well as mini Italian cooking classes.
You can ask the owners to arrange guided tours (with certified guides) to your desired tourist destinations, or hiking trails both along the Amalfi Coast and in the mountains surrounding Villa Mimosa, as well as boat excursions. The Frassineto Nature Reserve, just a few kilometers from Calvanico, offers hiking trails of varying difficulty that you can explore on your own.
