Situated on a farm in the beautiful Somerset countryside, Kingston Black offers luxurious accommodation in a picturesque setting close to the cathedral city of Wells.
The chic interior is well-equipped and perfectly formed with double doors opening out to a decked terrace, inviting the views inside. There's a lovely living area complete with sofa and TV for unwinding in, a dining area and kitchenette for whipping up and sharing home cooked meals, and an ensuite bedroom with comfy double bed. Outside you'll discover a decked patio where a bubbling wood-fired hot tub, firepit / barbecue and outside furniture await, and here, guests can laze the hours away whilst taking in the beauty of the views down to the Lower River Axe.
Just a 10 minute walk away, the Pheasant Pub (a favourite in the area) is a terrific place to while an afternoon or two away with good food and drink, or for those who don't mind a short drive, The Ring O'Bells and The Burcott are also close by. A wealth of nature-infused attractions such as Wookey Caves (about 8 minutes' drive), Cheddar Gorge, and Kilver Court and Gardens (both about 20 minutes) lie within easy reach, while Wells with its cathedral, shopping, restaurants and heritage sites, is the perfect day out. There are also several good beaches in the area including Burnham-on-Sea (with Britain's shortest pier) which is about 30 minutes' drive away, and the pebbly Kilve which is a little over an hour's drive.

Where do I begin! The Kingston Black Glamping accommodation was perfect! For me and my partners first holiday together it was incredible. Upon arrival, all was clean and beautifully presented. The hot tub was a wonderful touch for a lovely relaxed evening and the views to accompany were spectacular. The accommodation was comfortable, spacious and easy to navigate. Facilities inside were easy to use and fully working.
We experienced a thunderstorm on our first night and our local contact was in touch straight away to make sure we were okay and there were no issues, the customer service is above and beyond!!
The location is spot on with Wells, Wookey Hole, and Cheddar Gorge a short drive away, giving us plenty to explore during our stay!! It is safe to say we will definitely be back for another holiday as our stay was immaculate!! We had a very peaceful and cozy stay even with 30 degree weather! I couldn’t recommend Apple Tree Glamping enough! Thank you so much!!

From the moment we arrived, everything was totally fab! Beautifully located, the accommodation was spotless, homely and very cosy. We opted to have our hot tub warm and ready for using as soon as we arrived and it was such a treat. Matt our host was really helpful and friendly, he introduced us to the friendly piggies and even got to pet and feed them. We made the most out of our cabin using the bbq for cooking and toasting marshmallows. Wookey hole caves which is close by is definitely worth the visit, wells town is also worth a stroll around. We passed by Glastonbury town on the way home and also made our way to Burham on sea for some fish & chips. We would 100% recommend Apple tree Glamping and cannot wait to return :)

Owner of the property was very helpful in setting up ballon’s prior to arrival and made the weekend very special for me and my girlfriend, will 100% be going back again

We booked this place as a short stay over Christmas and it did not disappoint. Absolutely lovely hosts. So helpful and responsive. The pod was beautiful. Warm and cosy. We were worried it would be cold due to the temperatures outside but we never had an issue. Hot tub was lovely once we had the knack of it. Really close to Wells and Shepton Mallet. Walking distance to walks and 3 pubs. Peaceful end to the year. Thank you!
