Welcome to Casa de las Cruces, a soulful Spanish estate on a sprawling mountainside with breathtaking desert views. This 6,059-square-foot property comfortably sleeps 10 guests, offering a unique blend of luxury and Southwestern charm with its adobe stone walls and high-beam ceilings.
You'll find three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms in the main house, while the casita has two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Living Room: Features tasteful leather sofas and chairs with large patio doors opening to the expansive outdoor patio and its stunning views.
Den: A separate, quiet space off the dining room with a Smart TV and comfortable seating.
Kitchen: A fully equipped culinary dream with high-end stainless steel gas appliances, concrete countertops, a copper sink, a large island with seating for four, and a counter ice machine.
*There is large fridge, but no freezer.
Dining Area: A large wood table seats six beneath a grand iron rod chandelier, with access to a tranquil side patio.

The house was beautiful and Austin from the Scottsdale office was very helpful when we encountered a problem. Just something to be aware: it has 5 bedrooms but only 3 bedrooms were in the main house. We had four people so one person had to go to the casita at night. The pool was a disappointment, because it was unusable. It was covered with leaves and was generally dirty. I was told that there was a malfunction with the equipment and someone would be out by Friday at noon. No one ever showed. With temperatures above 105 we cancelled our golf plans but expected to be able to use the pool.

The property was very unique, with great views of the surrounding area. The house was very different. It was very close to Cave Creek and all that was offered in town. There was great hiking as well. There were downsides though. Arriving at the property, finding the entrance was very difficult as it was after dark, and only one of five outdoor lights were operational. This was a theme throughout the house. Many light bulbs did not work. We were awakened the second morning at 7:45 by three industrial leaf blowers all around the property, including on a porch of one of the bedrooms that had no curtains on the glass door. This allowed an unfettered view of the bedroom occupants as they slept. Many small things were not operational. The gas on the grill was turned off, there was no propane tank for the fire table, there were no trash bags or dish washing soap. The property manager, however, was very accessible, and took care of these items quickly. Overall, the house and owners did not feel very welcoming. We've used VRBO numerous times and this was the first time that we felt like we were not welcomed onto the property. It had a feeling that we were an inconvenience to the home owners, all the way down to the WiFi password which was not very welcoming. (Realizing that it is probably a reference to Norse mythology.) We held a family 90th birthday party, and the venue on the patio was great for that. The pool was enjoyed by all, and a great seating area on the patio.
