We had a fabulous week at Cunsey lodge, and would definitely recommend the lodge(recently refurbished to a very high standard). We loved the quality of the towels, bedding and the kitchen was very well fitted with plenty of utensils/equipment.
We did have a problem with shower screens - really not sure why but a we called the estate office and they went above and beyond to solve the problem immediately. Excellent 5 star customer service.
The hot tub although i was dubious about having to use a log burner to warm it was - was so easy to use.
We will definitely return to the Graithwaite estate, all the staff we met were fantastic and would recommend clay pigeon shooting with hannah and a visit to The boat house. We loved the surrounding area a much quieter area of the lake district from the crowds but just as beautiful.

Excellent house. Spacious and light . Kitchen very well equipped.
Oven should be cleaned.
Tea towels should be new not grey!

Rare to find a holiday home nicer than the pictures. The downstairs is open and spacious in an open plan arrangement. The underfloor heating keeps it warm downstairs and an appropriate coolness upstairs (at least in March). The view from directly out the window of Lake Windermere is gorgeous. The house is fairly remote but that's just what you want to escape to the Lakes.

Large house and lovely location. I would not say it is dog friendly nowhere to let the dogs out unless on a lead. One of the showers was blocked and we had to get some drain cleaner and black mould in showers and bathrooms. We found currants under the seatpads on the sofa, fortunately our dogs did not eat them. There was some dubious stains on the bedding which I did not notice until I removed the blanket at the bottom of the bed. The house itself was in need of a freshen up damaged walls were patched in areas without being painted. The sofa was in need of replacing. The welcome pack was a nice touch but would probably be better having milk to compliment the tea, coffee and biscuits instead of a bottle of beer
