A fabulous location that has something for everyone, the area is a must for water sports, sailing enthusiasts and fishermen. Walkers and cyclists can enjoy the famous Tarka Trail. North Devon has wonderful beaches and is well positioned for visits to Exmoor, Dartmoor and North Cornwall. At Croyde and Woolacombe, discover some of the best and cleanest surf beaches in the country, as well as many smaller coves and bays. Exmoor and the South West Coastal Path are located close by and there are NT properties at Arlington and Knighthayes. Shops ½ mile, pub, beach and restaurants approximately ¼ mile.

We absolutely love OakTree cottage. We have gone twice a year for the last three years. It is set at the back of the host’s property but you could be a mile from anywhere. The private gravel path takes you down to a beautifully set single storey cottage. Very comfortable and the hosts are awesome (there if you need them but never intrusive).

Really excellent stay in oak tree cottage.It was perfectly set up for our family of dogs and a small person. The totally enclosed garden gave us peace of mind that we were secure and all could roam. The cottage had great touches with DVD’s for when the weather was less than perfect. We hope to return soon!

We really enjoyed our stay at oak tree cottage despite the wet weather and were made to feel very welcome.
The cottage is private whilst being at the end of the owners property. The children loved walking past the chickens everyday. The cottage is possibly more suited to slightly older children as our 17mth old toddler was quite interested in the stone fireplace.
