Take a ferry trip across the estuary to Rock or explore the Camel Trail by foot or bicycle (cycle hire available locally). The beautiful bay at Watergate, home of the Extreme Sport Academy is within easy reach. The championship golf course at Trevose is approximately 2 miles away and for walkers, the coastal footpath is just 3 miles. Other areas to visit include The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and unspoilt Bodmin Moor as well as Newquay with its zoo and world famous surfing beach at Fistral. Shop 1½ miles.

We loved our stay at Fistral Cottage. Had beautiful weather. Although the cottage in situated in an old airfield and you are within very easy driving distance to so many beautiful places and beaches and it is so peaceful.
The cottage itself is well equipped for a family of 4.
There are lots of lovely positives about FISTRAL and our own real negative is the wifi is absolutely terrible, dark October evenings we were looking forward to streaming a few family films etc but it really struggled and possibly some form of a blackout blind in the main bedroom.
Overall I would happily recommend this holiday home.

Great cottage well placed for St Merryn beaches and Padstow. Only negative was WiFi not working (I unfortunately had to work some days and needed WiFi). Will stay again

Cottage nice, comfortable, all the necessities, but does require an update. location good to get to other places, quite central but the surrounding area itself was quite derelict.

nice bungalow and a good base to explore what Cornwall has to offer. 5 minutes drive to the seven bays, 10 minutes to Padstow.
