The "Skovhuset" vacation home is a small farmstead over 100 years old. It has been renovated over the years and most recently adapted for wheelchair users and those with mobility issues. No stairs or door thresholds. Features a corner living room with a wood-burning stove, 3 bedrooms sleeping 6 people. Both a large and a smaller bathroom. Newly installed kitchen. Washer and dryer, iron, vacuum cleaner, and cleaning supplies. Central heating and air-to-air heating system. Wi-Fi.
Electricity and heating oil costs are calculated by the host and must be paid before departure.
The forest, garden, and park surroundings are freely available to guests and other visitors. The patio connected to the kitchen is inviting and easy to use.

We had family to visit in Aalborg and Svenstrup was close enough to meet up and also be able to relax in the quiet countryside.
The property is full of greenery and was such a nice retreat for us after our busy time in Billund. If you appreciate history and authentic Danish farm style this is the place for you!
Our hosts were so helpful with places to see and answered any questions quickly. We would return in a heartbeat.

Kirsten and Egon were wonderful hosts, quite literally at back an call in a warm and supportive manne. They home, now an adequately modernized traditional farm house in quite rural surroundings portrays well, in location, architecture, and content, traditional rural life without shortchanging expectations of an upscale residence in terms of kitchen,, living and Bedroom comforts. Bravo to the couple for this welcome home to Denmark for our vacation from the USA.
