The Space:
A welcome addition to the luxury vacation rental market, explore this large family-oriented home with guest house on flat waterfront! Located on Ellisport Bay in Hope, this is the home you can bring the entire gang to and make incredible lake memories. Ideal for multi-generational families and friends!
The main house is two stories and has central AC, a fully appointed kitchen, and a covered patio deck which overlooks a large grassy lawn. The Primary bedroom and 2nd bedroom are located on the main floor, each with a King bed. Upstairs, you’ll find the 3rd bedroom with King bed, and the 4th bedroom (oversized family/bonus room) with Queen bed, (2) Twin beds, crib, complete with TV and large sectional couch. Access to water is easy with a flat walk out to the rocky beach area, decorated with bistro lights, where you'll find a fire pit overlooking the water. Private dock with boat lift and jet ski lift.
The guest house has a full kitchen and sitting area with THREE additional bedrooms. Bedroom 5 of 7 has a King bed, Bedroom 6 of 7 has a Queen bed, and Bedroom 7 has a Twin bunk bed. Both homes have additional bathrooms and laundry rooms. NOTE: Guest house does NOT have AC but was built in 2016 and is well insulated.
Located 23 minutes to the East of Sandpoint, Hope sits on the NE shore of Lake Pend Oreille. Ellisport Bay is home to the Hope and Holiday Shores Marina, The Floating Restaurant and boasts some of the most incredible views of the Green Monarchs, Warren, Pearl and Cottage Islands. The bay is warm for swimming in the summer and gateways the BEST deep water fishing on the lake. Book your summer retreat today!
**NOTE: Each year, on September 18th OR the 3rd Sunday in September (whichever is later), the Army Corps of Engineers begins dropping the water level of Lake Pend Oreille until ultimately reducing it by a total of 10-12 feet. Around the 4th week in September ALL boat docks and boat lifts on the lake become inaccessible and unusable, as the water completely recedes back from the shoreline leaving just bare ground beneath the docks. The agreement with the Army Corps of Engineers states the lake level must be restored to full pool level each year no later than July 4th, however, the last 10+ years the lake water has been at full pool level around the 2nd or 3rd week in June.

It is difficult for me to give this lovely home 4 stars. It met or exceeded our expectations (based on the description and the pictures and the reviews). However, we had two issues. The first was that the master suite did not have an accessible closet to hang clothing. We were there for 4 nights and had multiple venues planned. There was a locked door, which might have been a closet. I never did find out. The management delivered a portable hanging rack the next day, but it was less than ideal.The second issue was that we had no control over the thermostat. It was remotely controlled. When I called management they sent someone to the house. The best he was able to do was to set it to temperatures I told him to set it at at different times of day. But as anyone knows, in a strange house with one thermostat in the hallway, it's at best a guessing game unless you live there. We found it to be annoying, especially in a luxury home like this one.Other than that, the place is equipped as pictured. Very clean, very well equipped with glasses, dishes, pots and pans,3 refrigerators, access to a garage to put your junk and equipment in, a lush grassy level lawn for the the little ones to run around on. ETCI wold gladly go back there, hoping to negotiate the use of the closet and the ability to adjust the thermostat. We had a wonderful stay.

We had our annual family meeting at this spacious, wonderful lakefront property. The home and guesthouse were perfect for us to spread out. The kitchen was big and having a refrigerator in the guest house and an extra refrigerator in the garage allowed us enough space for all our food and drinks to stay cold. Having 2 SUP for us to use and 4 lounge chairs down by the water was a nice bonus. Being so close to the Hope Marina made it super convenient to rent a pontoon boat for the day.
