We so enjoyed our stay at the Avalon in Clearwater! The customer service was excellent. Having easy access to beach umbrellas, towels, and chairs was a huge plus. We also enjoyed the complimentary champagne toast by the pool at sunset. It’s a wonderful place to stay!

We thought the room was beach front it was not, we were facing the street and playground. When we first got to the room there was an awful smell of urine, we spoke to host and she gave us room spray and told us the room would be cleaned again in the morning. After room got cleaned again the next day that smell still remained we had to purchase room spray and Lysol and that did nothing. The entire hotel smelled amazing but our room smelled terrible like maybe we can animal peed on multiple areas of the room and it soaked into floor. We couldn’t even change rooms because they were fully booked. Very disappointed
