Tucked among the trees in the heart of historic Mount Gretna, this charming 2-bedroom cottage offers the perfect blend of vintage character and cozy comfort. Perched high above the street, the oversized front porch feels like your own private treehouse retreat — the kind of place where mornings begin slowly with coffee in hand and evenings end with the soft sounds of music drifting from the nearby Playhouse.
Inside, the cottage is filled with warm French Quarter-inspired décor, eclectic artwork, and timeless Mount Gretna charm. The fully equipped kitchen is stocked with everything you need for cooking, entertaining, or enjoying a quiet night in. The home also includes high-speed internet, a washer and dryer, and one full bath plus an additional half bath for added convenience.
The porch is truly the highlight of the home — spacious, peaceful, and surrounded by mature trees that make you feel tucked away from the world while still being steps from all Mount Gretna has to offer.
LINEN POLICY: Fresh linens are provided for your stay, and the linen/laundry fee is already included in the total cost of your reservation. There is no additional charge for linens after booking.
Whether you're visiting for a weekend getaway, a Playhouse performance, lake days, or simply to unwind on the porch beneath the trees, this cottage offers a uniquely cozy Mount Gretna experience filled with charm, character, and comfort.

Very quaint and quiet property, however it is only a few streets back from the theatre so you do hear the shows in the evening- we did enjoy it though! Also, it might be worth looking into some type of blind or curtain in the TV sunroom upstairs. At night, the street light shines directly on you in the bedroom.

The place was eclectic. Not as clean as I typically like to see. However maybe I just expect it to be zero dust bunnies under the bed so maybe I am just too picky., but it is an older cabin so maybe a bit of dust is to be expected. It is very unique and had various antiques and pictures of NOLA so it was like a treasure hunt. Parking is not ideal but doable. The area was very nice and I would have loved to enjoy some of the trails but was not there for that, so maybe another time. Hosts are very kind and responsive.

We loved the location, learning about the area, and thoroughly enjoyed the funkiness of this home. Being the first fall-season guests, we had trouble locating which house and how to get to it because it was already dark outside when we arrived. The owner was quick to answer the phone and help us out. These are not negative items but if you're not able to maneuver steps or have trouble with uneven ground, this rental may not be a good choice for you. The beauty and uniqueness of the setting and home come with outside and inside stairs to conquer and uneven ground/pathways.

- furniture was uncomfortable for lounging while on vaca- not enough bedding (1 top sheet was missing)- towels smelled musty- could have been cleaner- need another box/pedestal fan for summer - seemed a little dated We would choose to stay there again, if the furnishings were updated a bit, and geared more towards a family relaxing on vacation.

"We visited family in the area and shopped at antique stores. The cottage was ideally situated and in a very beautiful setting."
