It’s the perfect escape for nature enthusiasts and relaxation seekers. Please note that “Sea Mist Studio" is one part of a divided home, with “Sea Mist Cottage" being rented separately.

Guest access:
The home is set up for self check-in. Guests can access the home via lockbox and will have access to the entire home.

1. Confirmed guests will receive a local "Insider's Guide". We're a family business deeply connected to our community, and we hope you'll enjoy and respect this beautiful corner of the world while supporting our local economy sustainably. We love sharing it with our guests!
2. The home is professionally cleaned with eco-friendly products.
3. No chores for our guests! That’s what the cleaning fee is for, right? We have a fantastic team of housekeepers, some of whom have worked with us for over 10 years. We fully clean each home top to bottom, fully restocking all amenities, replacing worn-out items, and keeping things fresh and pleasant for our guests. We use top-notch cleaning products without annoying scents or chemicals, and our cleaners are paid living wages because they are the backbone of what we do and you’ll appreciate their attention to detail.
4. Please be mindful of our quiet neighborhood after dark, and no parties or gatherings without prior approval. If you're looking for a place to cut loose and laugh and play music late into the night, we have other homes nearby that are more appropriate. Please ask us for alternative accommodation and we’d be happy to help find a place!

The property is set up for contactless entry. We are a local company that manages the property. We're just 15 minutes away, and our office is in Point Reyes Station. We're here 7 days a week to answer your questions or address any issues, usually within an hour, even on weekends and holidays.
Neighborhood:
The cottage is located in the village of Marshall, ideally situated on the East shore of Tomales Bay, making for a great place to watch the sun set! Easily walk, bike, or drive to countless hiking/biking trails and nature attractions. Local eateries, like Marshall Store, Tony's Seafood, and Hog Island Oyster Company, are within walking distance.
Getting around:
There is free parking in the gated driveway. Restaurants, bars, and markets are within walking distance.
No outside visitors without prior permission. Please keep outside noise to a minimum after dark out of respect for our neighbors. This home is not for parties/events/celebrations. I do manage other homes in the area which could work better, please inquire. We do have noise-sensitive neighbors, so please be considerate.

Loved our stay! The house was clean and had everything we needed for a great get away. The views were incredible. Cant wait to come back

I've never had a rental so quickly feel like a home before! It is worth noting, however, on the listing that I saw for this rental, it said that there was a hot tub (there isn't, that's at the cottage), and showed images of a bathtub in the bathroom. There was no bathtub, but it did look like the bathroom had been renovated. One more little thing... The baking sheet that they have in the kitchen is just a little too large to fit in the oven they have. It should also be made clear that the pier off the deck is to the cottage, not the studio.I do not want this to detract from how much I enjoyed this rental property, but it is still worth noting.

You are literally on Tomales Bay when you stay here. Two of our 4 nights, about an hour before sunset hundreds of birds, mostly cormorants gave us a show right off of the deck, diving and flying. Other times we got to watch pelicans repeatedly circle and dive. One morning an otter appeared. We hope to return.

What an amazing rental right over the water on Tomales Bay. Hog Island oysters, Tony’s Seafoood, Marshall’s are very close by. The views are priceless, and you can hear the waters below. The fireplace was well stocked. A cozy, clean, comfortable stay. Would definitely stay here again.
