It's clean, quiet and very close to the lake

I got bitten by mosquitoes a lot, and no tips for that

Located just a few meters (less than a 5-minute walk; but there are also parking spaces for your car) from the Truc Lam Buddhist monastery, this accommodation is situated on a family-run farm. They are essentially cottages surrounded by greenery, around a common area (a very spacious and well-equipped outdoor kitchen where you can prepare your own meals and where large shared refrigerators are located). My cottage was made entirely of wood, just as shown in the pictures. It was supersupersuperclean, well-maintained, and cozy. The furnishings are simple, but nothing is missing: a very comfortable bed, a small table, and a coat rack with hangers. A boiler, a fan, and a pleasant-smelling diffuser with essential oils, which also helps keep mosquitoes away (I didn’t encounter any, but since it’s surrounded by nature, they might be in the evening). The bathroom has an open shower with hot water always available. Excellent wifi. There’s always someone at the front desk. And a uniformed security guard monitors the gate. You feel always safe, and at home. Of course, it’s in a remote area, but it’s just a 15minute drive from Da Lat, and while it’s true there is nothing around, you can -for example- easily order food delivery through Grab. Its proximity to the monastery is a major plus: for anyone planning a retreat there, it’s the perfect choice, especially at the end, because it offers the chance to spend a night in a place that, in its simplicity, feels “similar” to that spiritual dimension, without having to immediately face the chaos of the city. Honorable mention goes to the lovely Dani, the PERFECT host: you won’t find anyone in all of Vietnam who is as dedicated to her work, as capable of understanding the needs of a western guest and communicating with them (in perfect, completely understandable English), and as attentive in her interactions and meticulous about every detail—even in chat (the videos that show you how to get there!!). You’re unique and rare, Dani. 🏆

This place is perfect (for anyone looking for a sparkling clean, well-maintained, affordable, and peaceful place surrounded by nature).

Beautiful stay in a fantastic location, we really enjoyed exploring the lake, Buddhist temple, waterfall and alpine cable car is all on the doorstep of this homestay. The room was cozy and the views of the willow and garden were beautiful! The host Dani was kind and super helpful with everything, very responsive. The breakfast was superb if you get included👌 The place feels secure and safe. Parking for bikes Free water and communal kitchen with fridge Friendly dogs and lots of different birds.

Nothing we loved it. Small improvements could be a new shower head and cotton towels. Of course there were a few insects about but we didn’t mind, you are in nature.
