Planter's Heritage By Cilantro Collection

The property is situated at the prime location, one could say at the heart of Darjeeling. One could find all the staple places near this property. The breakfast was complimentary yet it was amazing. There was a variety of food and astonishingly they were serving shots of detox water which I thought added something extra to a breakfast buffet. The chef was great, each of the options were freshly cooked and served and they made sure till the end of the breakfast the food stays hot.

Planter’s heritage is great, we have no issues but just one. We wanted to try their kebab options and we tried to order two consecutive days. But the tandoor wasn’t available that’s why we couldn’t place the order. I’d suggest please make the tandoor available so the next time we visit we could taste some of your kebabs.

Breakfast and overall Food..Chef is excellent..Overall staff is very warm and friendly Tea Tasting room can be further upgraded to a nice cafe Location

If they can develop the open area and some sitting area in the open.. with some tea / coffee snacks etc it would be great to sit there and gaze at the Kangchenjunga

We had an incredible time in Darjeeling and at Planters Heritage. Despite the constant rain, we embarked on a fantastic adventure. There’s so much to explore and do in this beautiful city. The hotel restaurant and Mall Road offer delicious food. Planters Heritage is conveniently located, making it easy to access all the attractions. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with ample seating and luggage space. The hot water heater is small but with rationing of water doable even with long hair. We requested a fan, which they promptly provided. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring our comfort and making us feel welcome.

The staff at the hotel was always very friendly and obliging and very welcoming. Also helpful in aranging transportation. Breakfast was ok, and also a la carte dinner was decent. Location is great, right at the beginning of the pedestrian zone.

The hotel itself is older and a bit run down. Big rooms, but the coziness is unfortunately missing due to no heating (actually in the whole building) and old furniture. In the bathroom there was mold in the shower and hot water supply only for a real quick shower. Not a five stars hotel according to international standards but rather 3 stars, because of the points mentioned above. Actually sad to see, that not more is done and invested in such a splendid propperty...
