Sanary-sur-Mer, 13 km from Toulon and 49 km from Marseille, with its authentic Mediterranean fishing port, pedestrian streets lined with small shops, delicious restaurants, and pretty squares refreshed by fountains, is a renowned tourist town, both relaxing and lively, where you're guaranteed a great vacation whatever the season! It offers a huge variety of colorful landscapes and natural sandy beaches (Portissol, Plage Dorée, La Gorguette, Bonnegrâce, Beaucours, etc.) in a sunny setting most of the year. Numerous activities are available: sailing, scuba diving, tennis, climbing, hiking, fishing, cinema, casino gaming... not to mention the inevitable sea and sunbathing!
The town, whose market was voted "the most beautiful market in France" in 2018, offers the best local produce, as well as fresh fish from the fishermen and fresh flowers every morning on the port. In summer, you can also enjoy a night market offering artisanal products.
Numerous sea excursions depart from the port to discover marine animals (whales, sperm whales, dolphins, etc.) as well as the natural beauty of the islands (Porquerolles, Les Embiez, Bendor) and the Calanques de Cassis! The port is also a hotspot for festivities throughout the year (Fête des traditions, Printemps de Sanary, Just Rosé, Fête de la Musique et de la Danse, and many other events offered by local multicultural associations), including the end-of-year celebrations (its superb illuminations are now famous).
We look forward to sharing our passion for Sanary and its surrounding areas with you during your next vacation!
