Hostel Nelly

Perfect location close to istiklal and has many good and cheap restaurants around. I booked the “hostel” but is actually a private room with shared toilet. Super clean and everything is quiet new inside. There’s also a very beautiful rooftop where you can chill or enjoy sunset

Nelly est une hôte en or, disponible et sympathique. Pas de petit-déjeuner en hiver mais elle nous a proposé à dîner et a cuisiné un gâteau pour l'ensemble des invités. J'ai également pu utiliser la laverie directement sur place et mention spéciale aux chats qui sont absolument adorables et très curieux. Rapport qualité-prix imbattable.

Manque de prises proches des lits et éventuellement de lampes de chevets mais sinon nickel.

Stay here!! you won't be disappointed for the price. It's excellent value for money. Nelly greeted myself on arrival. Everything was excellent, from check in to check out. She showed me to the room, and ensured I had fresh clean bedsheets. Each guest had a lockable cupboard for their own personal belongings. The hostel, was more akin to an Airbnb, there was a fully equipped kitchen, with utensils, toastie, pots, pans. The bathroom was clean with toilet paper, some shampoo, and hand wash. Nelly also offers a useful laundry service which was reasonably priced, which included washing, drying ironing and pressing of all clothing. There is a local Sunday market at the bottom of the road, with fresh produce and fairly priced clothing. Nelly's place was about a 7/8 minute walk to taksim square and a mere five minutes to the main shopping precint in Isntabul. There is a Sok supermarket about a 3 minute walk. I would definitely stay here again! I stayed at Moon hostel, which was a couple of dollars cheaper per night, but I definitely felt I got more value for money staying at Nelly's.
